How can I most effectively use Yahoo iPage?

My first question is How can I most effectively use Yahoo iPage? Many thanks for any response. My 2nd question... I am having a difficult time with my breadcrumb navigation bar. I inserted pics in place of the text (ie: top, catalog, my acct, etc). The inserted pics are .png files that look like this:.

My problem is all looks great in firefox- and when you hover over the pics they have a white border that is just fine per the code in the stylesheet. But when opening in internet explorer there are undesirable pink and blue borders around the pics and nothing happens when you hover over the pics. I have included a picture of the two navigation bars- top one being the IE bar and the lower being the correct Firefox bar..

Any thoughts on how to fix code to remove pink and blue borders in IE?.

Not sure if it's a stylesheet problem, but I've included some of the code anyway..

Sometimes after you change the stylesheet you have to hold the.

<Ctrl>.

Key down while doing a page refresh..

This forces a reload of all content from the server (in IE and Firefox)..

Otherwise you may be just looking at your PC's cache.....

Comment #3

Thanks for the ideas- but no luck as of yet. Its almost as if the border is a part of the image in IE, but not in firefox. so with that line of thought the stylesheet may not be where the change needs to be made...

I've done all I can do without a link..

You can post it, PM it to me, or wait for someone else to make a stab at it...

Comment #5

Where you defined the images, did you add border="0"?..

Comment #6

Because of my lack of experience- I dont know where to go to define these images..

Try this in the stylesheet for these two classes:.

A.headerNavigation {.

Color: #000000;.

Text-decoration: none;.

}.

A.headerNavigation:hover {.

Color: #000000;.

Text-decoration: none;.

}..

Comment #8

Nah- this solution is acceptable in firefox- but in IE it remains the same blue and pink borders...

Comment #9

I believe if we follow Fimble's suggestion and add the.

Border="0".

To all the images in question in.

/catalog/includes/.

Header.php.

Your problem will be fixed..

I think...

Ok- I gave this a shot a few times to no luck, but it is possible I incorrectly coded it. I have included the unedited code below:.

</tr>.

</table>.

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">.

<tr class="headerNavigation">.

<td class="headerNavigation">&nbsp;&nbsp;<?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' &raquo; '); ?></td>.

<td align="right" class="headerNavigation"><?php if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGOFF, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_LOGOFF; ?></a> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <?php } ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT; ?></a> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS; ?></a> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT; ?></a> &nbsp;&nbsp;</td>.

</tr>.

</table>.

<?php.

If (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['error_message']) && tep_not_null($HTTP_GET_VARS['error_message'])) {.

?>.

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">.

<tr class="headerError">.

<td class="headerError"><?php echo htmlspecialchars(stripslashes(urldecode($HTTP_GET_VARS['error_message']))); ?></td>.

</tr>.

</table>.

<?php.

}.

If (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['info_message']) && tep_not_null($HTTP_GET_VARS['info_message'])) {.

?>.

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">.

<tr class="headerInfo">.

<td class="headerInfo"><?php echo htmlspecialchars(stripslashes(urldecode($HTTP_GET_VARS['info_message']))); ?></td>.

</tr>.

</table>.

<?php.

}.

?>..

Comment #11

This can't be the code showing on the site:.

<td class="headerNavigation">&nbsp;&nbsp;<?php echo $breadcrumb->trail(' &raquo; '); ?></td>.

<td align="right" class="headerNavigation"><?php if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGOFF, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_LOGOFF; ?></a> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <?php } ?><a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT; ?></a> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS; ?></a> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL'); ?>" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT; ?></a> &nbsp;&nbsp;</td>.

There are no references to the header images you're using!.

This code would just show normal text links...

Comment #12

Ok- I found it. the image references are in english.php- and border="0" fixes the big problem of the pink and blue boxes- but nothing happens when you hover over, but I can probably figure out a solution for that. Thanks for your help guys...

Comment #13

Add title attributes to the images, like for the home button:.

So it shows a text balloon on a mouseover.....
