First of all How do I charge for iPage web hosting with a reseller account? Many thanks for any response. My 2nd question... Hi.

I am making a iPage site for.

Which will eventually be transfered to.

The problem is with my background, that has a tendancy to play hide and seek. When being viewed through jippiipooluk, the background hardly ever shows..

When visiting the individual pages it can be seen. The individual pages are:.

And the stylesheet that is used is.

Www31.brinkster.com/jpoolpage/style2.css..

Any help it keeping my background there would be very much appreciated..

*highguyuk*..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

What is that??? you can't have a BODY attrib in a body tag. take all the styles out an insert them into your style sheet..

It means the links you posted in the first post has a , at teh end and when clicked on it leads to a bad url...

Oh dear!.

Ive took the whole body tag out, and the style tags refering to the links and now I get no background (except for my iframe)...

What is that? also keep everything in one section..

Try this and what the uppercase as NS will fight ya on it. make everything lowercase...

Css changed...and all items are lower case....

Yet no change...

You will need to run the code through.

And.

As there are numerous errors to fix. You are going to be learning a lot about HTML in the next few days...

I agree with giz. by going to the first url you posted in teh first post I still see a style sheet that si not listed here and I see a lot of html problems. I would wait until you move to the other server as this one is all messedup. like I said the first tiem, I see a background, but I think the iframe is covering most of it up..

Edit: this is the css file that loads now that I see form the link above..

BODY { color: ffffff; background: black url(.

);.

Font-size: small; font-family: arial };.

A:link { color: ffffff; font-size: small; font-family: arial }.

A:visited { color: dedede; font-size: small; font-family: arial }.

.table { background: 000063 }.

#linklabel { color: ffffff; font-size: small; }.

.rankcolor { background-color: 630000; color: dedede }.

.peer { background-color: 006300; color: dedede }.

.high { background-color: 000063; color: dedede }.

.brd { color: dedede }..

>>.

I agree with giz.

<<.

Well, there's a first time for everything...

The other server I am moving it to is a similiar setup to this. I will just insert the previous small code linking to the frames and css in the space I have on the new server..

The background I want is.

Which cannot really be covered up by the iframe..

Which particular bit are you advising me to validate as priority? The smaller code for myleague server, the main page or the menu...which does actually show the bg more often that not..

: I have just seen the edit. My CSS file SHOULD override that CSS, which I am unable to remove due to myleague. Unfortunetly, this is a problem of using myleague ladder system...

Css files, internal or external don't over-write each other. they make up 1 big file...

As you may be aware...I am a novice in this sort of situation. lol..

In making this website, I have based it on another myleague site,.

Although I have copied codes he has used etc he gets the background to load and I dont! lol..

The code he uses for his page is:.

<LINK REL="StyleSheet" HREF="http://www.dominantdesign.com/56/themes/HVen/style/style.css" TYPE="text/css">.

<p align=justify><P><p align=justify><P><p align=justify><P><p align=justify><P><p align=justify><P><body STYLE="background-image: url(.

)">.

<STYLE> body {color: FFFFFF; background: black; }.

A:LINK { color: #00ffff; }A:VISITED { color: #00ffff; }A:ACTIVE { color:.

#01FF0D; }.

</STYLE>.

<BODY ONLOAD="parent.frames.

[0].location='http://www.dominantdesign.com/newleft.html';">.

<iframe frameborder="0" width="800" height="3200" src="http://www.dominantdesign.com/56">..

If that is the code he uses then he better check his setup. he has 2 body tags as well and you are not suppose to have 2..

If you are a novice then I suggest that you take a clean slate and get a server that you wouldn't have to do so much to get to run. run your WHOLE iPage site in the validator giz suggested adn you can see where you went wrong. you are showing incomplete code and until all the errors are fixed si when you can concentrate on the background issue...

Unfortunetly, getting a new server like that isnt an option..

As you may have figured, we are a gaming ladder and use myleague for our stats, standings and everything..

I, and certainly not any body else could take up the task of using our own server to make a iPage site like this..

So, I have started to validate already...and the problems now our basically ones I am unable to fix....

I keep getting errors from the flash code I am using which include "there is no attribute for this element".

For NAME, SRC, QUALITY, BGCOLOR, WIDTH, HEIGHT, TYPE, PLUGINSPACE AND EMBED..

Javascript types not specified, but I do not know what type of Javascript they are.

And Error: there is no attribute BORDER for this element (in this HTML version).

Just to name a few errors....

Is there anywhere you can point me to correct these myself, because I am sure you have other things to do than correct my mistakes! I really do appreciate your help people.....

All javascript is <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">.

A quote right from giz.

Also it doesn't require you to buy a server, just omve to one that you don't have to have all that setup like that. there are a bunch of free ones that you can have your own start pages. if you rent then pick a different ISP. but the way you are doing it is a headache..

There will be some errors you won't fix, but getting the proper code in tehre will help. the first page that loads in the url you posted doesn't even have any starting html tags. that can cause a lot of errors, even in IE. although I do have other stuff to do I don't mind helping, but some of this is just coding faults. a good start on learning too..

Good luck..
