First off, How do I get back the upoaded files of a suspended web site in iPage? Looking forward for any comment. Second question of mine... Hello everybody!.

I have installed osCommerce on my local machine using XAMPP..

On the actual storefront page I get this message:.

"Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: C:/xampp/htdocs/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.".

Can somebody please explain to me how this is done? Is it done via FTP??.

Many thanks in advance!.

Bjarne.

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably know..

So wail i'm still building I leave it on 0644.

But a solution for this would be welcome..

Thx..

If you are on a windows machine, use file manager /windows explorer and right click on the file configure.php..

Select properties and tick the read only box..

Yes you need to log in via ftp, and set then permissions to 444, 644 if 444 does not work..

Better way is to do this from you Control panel file manager as FTP does not always work!..
