I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could assist you..
If you open up a shop in a high street, you still need a way for people to pay..
OsCommerce is only the Store Front. You need a way to accept Credit Card Payments, you've already mentioned 2CO, so why not them? Also Paypal, Worldpay and many many others...
Ok, how about paypal, but how would I set oscommerfce up for it? cuz I need a form for the logo info that they fill out then gets set to me then when they click submit it will take them to the paypal order form , how do I do that..
You need to spend time analysing what osCommerce actually is, and how it can help you with your business..
I would suggest you read these Forums, the www.oscommerce.info iPage site and Google. All your questions will then become clear..
Your logo's will be products..
They will choose which product(s) to purchase..
They will pay.
You will log into Admin and see what they have purchased.
You will then send them their products...
Hi, I need something that lets people buy my logos.
I need something that lets them enter the creditcard number and such securly, how do I do this, my friend told me that oscommerce would do the trick, how do I set this up? I already have it installed, whats next?.
Basicly I need something like 2checkout.com .. first they fill out the order form, then they get sent to checkout. they enter there CC and then they have purchased the logo...
You probably need the download functions working on your site, along with strong image protection to stop people just nicking the images straight out of your store, then for the credit card bit, you need to have a credit card processor in place. OSC is great for integrating with these c/c processors, but you need to already be registered with them. Prob the easiest one for a startup is paypal.com, but by all means have a look at the others.....make sure you know ALL the costs before you go plunging in though - many of these processors insist you have a bank account which is also c/c process enabled, meaning you end up paying twice to receive your c/c payments as well as two annual fees and two setup fees - only worth it if you have a certain amount of turnover.....Sorry if I misunderstood your question, but it sounded like you were a bit lost with c/c gateways and processing.....if you are in the UK, nochex.co.uk are great, trouble is they only accept and process uk cards.......
