My question is How do I set my iPage domain to my spruz website? Many thanks for any answer. Another quick question... Can the admin piece of osCommerce generate static HTML pages of the shopping cart catalog? This is advantageous for having search engines find your site..

I'm new to osCommerce and am working on getting this working on my local system..

Thanks..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you help..

It's not about reinventing the wheel or sending data to google..

I'm wondering if there is a function in the admin that can make static web pages, without the ?, just '/'.

Looks like it can from my searching around the forums...

Use the "Search Engine Safe URL's" under the "My Store" portion of Admin..

Works like a charm for me...

Doesn't work for me. Mine says ' no input file specified' whenver trying to browse..

I think it's still in development...

Well, there are a couple of contributions that will use mod_rewrite change the URL that way you want..

However, it is entirely unneccesary. Search Engines no longer prefer static web pages over dynamic content websites. URLS with '?' in them index just as well as ones with only '/' in them..

There is no reason to change a thing...

Adding it to your local system should only take about 45 minutes (including installing apache, php, mysql and oscommerce).

If you search on here, there are numerous threads on how to send info to google, etc.. seems like you are wanting to reinvent the wheel..
