Got a question, hope someone can answer... How do people maintain a healthy diet after being on NutriSystem, or Nutrisystem? Many thanks for any response. Another quick question... I don't know if any of you who have been here a long time will remember me, but I joined last year in April... I haven't been to these boards in so long, it will be fun to get caught up. When I was here last (April-May or so last year?), there was huge controversy - the Dean was banned, the ladies were invading the board, the Dean came back, the ladies left...

But before I do, I need to come clean about my weight. I ended up falling off the plan, but did lose some weight unfortunately due to being pretty sick. I'm better now from the illness, but want to get HEALTHY. I used to think I'd just want to get down to 200, but I really think 170 is more where I really should be at my height and buid. I've been back on Nutrisystem for 2 days now, and jogged 1-2 miles last night, and am weighing in at 220..

I do have a couple of questions for those of you who might know (I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere to address it, but please bear with me... I'll end up getting side tracked). Does the food go bad? I still have a TON of food left over from a year ago - at least a month's worth, maybe 2. I check things out when I open the containers, and everything looks/tastes OK. Is there a rule on how long the food keeps?.

I'm not the best at figuring out this website. I want to start fresh with a new starting weigh-in, etc. Anybody know how to do that?.

Looking forward to getting back on the program. Any advice will be appreciated...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you an answer..

Welcome back. My advice is to KEEP ASKING questions if you get some help but still can't figure something out. I do that in cooking and it exasperates some, but I have learned so, so much by being the squeeky wheel. So SQUEEK! You gotta go after things like a bird dog!..

Lasts almost indefinitely..

I've eaten stuff over 3 years past date. Nutrisystem uses Julian (sp) dates on food..

Look for 4 numbers in the stamped codes. example my evenings meal tonight was expired as the date was 01188, indicating the 118 day of 2008..

Good luck on your return visit...

Welcome back Joe:.

Started a bit earlier than you then drifted off now on again..

Sounds like you are being an aware consumer re the food expiry dates. Most of these dates are pretty conservative and.

Sometimes.

Reflect potential development of poor product taste rather than harmful changes. As long as the containers are sound you should be ok but.

If in doubt throw it out...

Have a bad right shoulder and left knee (and right knee coming on too). Am trying to get in athletic and weight shape so the docs give me a better answer on rehabbing them. Did a labrum repair (post dislocation) for the shoulder and debridement for the knee. Kinda depressing cause I tried to learn the subject and control my care, but eventually just said screw it and did the surgeries. Now shoulder is acting up again from workouts..

I was going to try to roll into my family doc (also a sports med guy and physician for US national swim team) weighing a buck 70...cause he is on me for being a fatty too. But I can't weight. They wanted me to wait two weeks to see him, but I asked the girl what was the best I could get if I sweet talked her like crazy when I come in and she has me in there tomorrow...

I"m losing my brain. Didn't mean to post all that shoulder crap in your thread Joe. Sorry...

Hey, no problem... I got answers to my questions and learned about my fellow fatties (or former fatties). Not bad I must say..

On that note, today was pretty good. Didn't exercise (little sore from the last 2 days), but will get back on it tomorrow...

Hi Joe.

I too joined early last year and had a great run on NS, I remember all the fun/drama on the board last year, heck they even created another web page so the fun could continue. I too fell off plan, due to death/taxes/life in general, but have come back full tilt. Good luck with the effort, you know what to do, it's just a matter of doing it......
