First question I have is How do the programs for Nutrisystem and Weight Watchers actually work? Thanks for any answer or 2. My other question... Started last year October at 307.

Fell off wagon at 289.

Back again at 310.

I gotta fix myself, I'm tired of being a 73 year old broken down rolly polly..

My mate says she likes to make me laugh because so much of me is so happy at one time..

My friend Bob says I need to wear turn signals and a wide load sign..

I want to become a loser so here I go again..

Many on this board have been in the same spot I am in. Some were succesful in their endeavor and others are struggling like me..

I was a drunk and replaced booze and cigarettes with food. I guess I have an addictive personality and need to make that work for me in losing some weight..

Any help will be appreciated even if it is just a kick in the ass to get me going..

Good question... I dunno what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can answer it..

I'm in the same boat... I have been off and on Nutrisystem for a while. When I stick with the program I loose weight. The weight really falls off... the problem is my addictive nature to food..

I have lost close to 40 lbs on NS. I went from 232 lbs to 193 lbs so I am convienced it works as long as you do your part..

Welcome back MG! Just put on your determination to see it though. Figure XX number of months and plan ahead to stay On Plan. Decide up front to limit restaurant meals and other celebratory eating events for that time period. See the end at the beginning and stay focused on it. If you fall off, don't use that as an excuse to stay off..

I've got the addictive tendancy as well and know exactly what you mean in your sig. It can be contained!.

Replace your addiction to food with an addiction to eating right. I followed the program strictly (except when I was on business trips and vacations) as you can see below. If you really study this, the science of food and nutrition, you will find a really interesting topic that you can be obsessed with doing the right way..

You can use that addictive personality to your benefit. Take all of that energy and use it to eat right and excercise...

Hi Mg,.

Our stories are similar, I lost 100lbs in 97-98. Slowly decided I could splurge once a week, then all weekend, well you can pretty much guess the rest. I'm back starting at 325, didn't make to my original 340. Currently at 295 in less than two months. Seems easier this time KNOWING how well Nutrisystem works.I had a '76 MGB for about ten years, loved driving it in the fall with the heat cranked up and tonneu cover only unzipped for the driver. Like many of you I've been on almost every diet there is, lost weight and gained it back plus. Time after time..

I'd down 33 lbs with Nutrisystem over 3 months so pretty happy about that. Over that period I've had 3 weeks of holidays away from home and each time gained between 4 to 8 lbs. I find that an amazing amount in such a short time, but each time when I got back on Nutrisystem I found that I lost everything I gained in less than a week. So it does work ... but I still worry about it when I get to being down 100+ pounds..

I'm motivated but not a committed as I probably should be. But 2 lbs loss a week average is 100 lbs in a year! Good luck to you...
