How good is iPage's "Quick Shopping Cart" for having business online?

My first question is How good is iPage's "Quick Shopping Cart" for having business online? Thanks for any comment. Another question I got... I have had good luck with customizing the look and feel of osCommerce so am not entirely new to the way it works. I am, however, running into problems figuring out how adding attributes to products should work. I have created Size and Color options and their values and go through the process of applying them to the product. The problem is that I don't see the options when viewing the product..

Where should I expect to see the options I've applied to the product?.

Thanks,.

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..

That's what I thought..

And I am NOT seeing them. I have scoured the wiki documents and the forums and just can't figure out where I am going wrong..

When I add an option name, it shows up in the area above the name entry line with delete and edit buttons. When I add an option value, it shows up in the area above the value entry line with delete and edit buttons. When I apply an attribute to a product, it DOES NOT show up above the date entry line. Is this normal?..

Methinks things should look a little like the picture attached below..

Step-by-step it should work like this....

Top right is "product options" - add a name and insert.

Top left is "option values" - select the option name in the drop down box, then add a value, then insert for as many values as you need..

Bottom is "products attributes" - select from the list of all the products on your iPage site in the drop down, select the option name and value you want to add, then insert. Note how Heatshrink Tubing makes three appearances for three values..

You need to have the product uploaded to your catalogue before you can add any options..

Hope that helps...

Well, I've first created the product in Admin>Catagories/Products, then did just as you've outlined in your message in Admin>Product Attributes. There just must be something wrong with the installation. I'll have to go into the code (Yikes! But my husband can probably handle it...).

Thanks for your time and effort,.

Well, my husband's eyes finally found the problem. I use Dreamweaver which sometimes changes file paths on me... at least I've notied that uploaded files sometimes inserts the entire local path instead of the relative path. Mostly this happens with php files. When he fixed the path, it worked!.

Thanks,.
