My question is How much to pay a college kid to do our website using Joomla on iPage? Looking forward for any comment. Another question I got... I've looked and located the table where the customer's comments are stored, but how do I get the comments to be displayed in the invoice?.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably know..

Repairguy-.

Did you ever get this to work? if so, could you post up how you did it? thanks..

All you have to do is to follow the directions that are on page 1 of that link to the other thread regarding adding comments in MS2. If you want all of the comments to appear on the invoice you just need to remove the part in the DB query that says.

And orders_status_id = '3'.

Which only displays those comments made when the status is changed to "shipped", if you remove the reference to orders_status it will display everything...

I got caught up in ten thousand other duties and had to put this on the back burner. Now it's hot again...as usual..

I deleted out that query from,.

But it doesn't pull up the comments made by the customer at all..

Also should there be a line such as..

Comment #6

That shouldn't pull up the comments at all since that is the wrong part of the code that I posted. The part that has to deal with the comments on the invoice is at the very end of what I had posted....it has $comments as a hint in it. You guys are killing me!.

Find this at the end of the file:.

</tr>.

</table>.

<! body_text_eof //>.

Add this just above it to print the heading and all of the comments relating to the order..

 <tr>.

   <td class="main"><br><b><?php echo TABLE_HEADING_COMMENTS; ?></b></td>.

 </tr>.

 <tr>.

   <td><?php echo tep_draw_separator('pixel_trans.gif', '1', '5'); ?></td>.

 </tr>.

<?php.

   $comments_query = tep_db_query("select orders_status_id, date_added, customer_notified, comments from "TABLE_ORDERS_STATUS_HISTORY" where orders_id = '"tep_db_input($oID)"' order by date_added");.

   if (tep_db_num_rows($comments_query)) {.

     while ($comments = tep_db_fetch_array($comments_query)) {.

       echo '          <tr>'"\n" ..

            '            <td class="smallText">'nl2br(tep_db_output($comments['comments']))' </td>'"\n" ..

            '          </tr>'"\n";.

}.

}.

?>.

Then just add the define for TABLE_HEADING_COMMENTS is admin/includes/languages/english/invoice.php..

Comment #8

This will get you started. I only include the comments that I place on the order -ie. those comments added when the status is changed to "shipped" but you can easily modify it to add all of the comments relating to the order or just the comments added by the customer..
