I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..
Do you try to cut some parts and transfer them ? .
Could we say what 's weigh of your .txt ?
Have you split your database ? .
The max rows acceptable for upload, by default is 300. you can either change that number or as recommended by the creator, use the split db function and then load the seperate txt files..
Uploading the files is not a problem I have left the maxi limit to 300 products that all works fine, it just when downloading the products from the admin iPage site to my local pc that's when I get the error...
Ok I see !.
Do you use in Admin > Tools > Backups ? .
My webhost threath me to suspend my homesite ! Because it's save ALL your database (all your scripts) and not just your catalog !!.
You will do better to pass by a php file :.
Echo "Save of your database.......\n";.
System("mysqldump -hserveur_sql -uutilisateur_sql -pmot_de_passe nom_de_la_base > mabase.sql");.
Echo "It's end you could recup there by FTP";.
But you will have all your database.
I look forward to hearing from you as soon..
NO I do no use the Admin> Tools > Backups..
I think I am loosing a bit of track here,, What I am trying to acheive is to downlowd my catalog using the easypopulate and then upload the files again on a new database..
I have tried to use the mysql to download (export) the sql file and then upload it in a new database....
But I get the NO SQL Query! error and nothing uploads....
If I insert the products one but one they all do go into the database but do not show in the catalog....
What I say, it's if your download is during more one minutes, the host killed your script..
Do you tried to pass by a php file ?
I am not sure how to pass by php please could you assist me with this...
Ponko, what Genius is saying, that when he is trying to 'download' an Easy Populate file from his menu in the admin/catalogs section, that it times out. Backing up is not a problem..
Genius, does your database work ok? have you tried using mysql connector or phpmyadmin and run the tools against the database, to see if there are any problems, and / or to optimize it?..
The database seems to work fine I am able to view products query the database and also see the server info..
When you say run the tool against the database do you mean exporting the database using the export tools in myphpadmin... well YES I have tried it and that works fine, it's just from the easy populate.
I have also used set_time_limit = (0) but still no joy..
The reasons why I want to use the easy populate is because I whne I upload new products the easy populate update works great...
A few things you can do to find out what is going on, is by first looking on the server access and error logs, seeing what you have in there. another after that, is to enable sql session logging in the admin section, and then try to run the download again. be careful with the sql logging, that file grows quite fast, so dont leave it running unless you have unlimited amounts of space! between all of these, you should be able to find out what is going on (or not going on)..
I have tried to enable sql seesion logs and I am getting even more error just opening an admin page.. tried the other suggestions but no luck..
Just to add to the above,.
I can do the rest it's just the complete tab data one..
I have installed the easypopulate contribution ok.. but now I want to download the complete database, when I click Download Complete tab-delimited .txt file to edit.
After a minute or so I get this error:.
Error 500: Internal Server Error.
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request..
Please can someone help me as I have a large database so maybe I am thinking it's probably timming out or it's some permission settings... any help is appreciated..
