Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

Well, I am including a checkout link at the top in the header bar, but I dont want a right column..

Will that also get rid of the table/cell? Basicly my iPage site is 700pixels centered, I want one column on the left and the content to take up the remaining space. I was able to just click a button in the loaded 6 compilation but editing the template is next to insane (at least for me...)..

Have to be honest...I have no idea what "the loaded 6 compilation" nor "table/cell" are. But, if you are using OSC MS2.2+ the fix I gave you will work..

DO NOT SKIP STEP ONE!!!..

I think I get it now. If by table/cell you mean take out the column on the right where column_right.php displays, here is what to do:.

1) BACKUP catalog/index.php.

2) Open catalog/index.php in a text editor.

3) find and remove the following code:.

<td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">.

<! right_navigation //>.

<?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES'column_right.php'); ?>.

<! right_navigation_eof //>.

   </table></td>.

DO NOT SKIP STEP ONE!!!..

Did both and there is still the right side where the inforboxes would go..

The iPage website is www.xboxrepairguide.com/new..

I don't think so.....your header graphic is 700px wide. To check, resize temp logo graphic to 500 and see if body resizes. If you removed the code I suggested, the column is gone. We may have to hack the index.php column to fill up the vacated space...

Actually, you'd have to do that for *every* display page, and not just index.php...

Ouch....didn't realize that. Sorry. I hate to post inaccurate information. Thanks for clearing it up...

I think there is a contribution called the 'column controller' that allows you to do this from the admin...

This should be required reading for all web iPage site owners. Jacob Neilson's web site.

Eyes move from the left to the right and if you are going to remove anything remove the left banner. On the right should be checkout and your products (the things that make you money). This way they are right in front of the person and they will find themselves looking at what you sell and how to buy it all the time..

Just my 2 cents.

Peter..

If you want to remove it on all pages how will someone checkout? That is where the shopping cart box is. I guess you could always move it to the column_left.php file..

But if you really want to......

1) Make a copy of catalog/includes/column_right.php for backup.

2) open your catalog/includes/column_right.php file in a text editor and remove everything between the <?php and ?> tags..

3) Scratch head wondering how customers will checkout...
