How to set up multiple ftp logins on godaddy?
First question I got is How to set up multiple ftp logins on godaddy? Thanks in advance for any answer. Another question... Hi everyone-.

I was hoping you all could give me some advice regarding the issue I am dealing with right now:.

I purchased 1 year of hosting from a former NP member using NP$ in March. My GoDaddy site has been down for a few days, so I thought it was a server issue. Well, I went to his GoDaddy site and found the server is fine- so I sent him a message asking what was wrong with my account. He responded asking me "How long did you "pay" for hosting"? So I told him I paid for a year at Namepros..

His response was:.

"Hi, Ali Capo.

Xxxx xxxx has responded to your trouble ticket entitled "My site-"..

I do not go on namepros anymore, NP$ is useless..

If you wish to carry on, You will have to pay real USD$.".

My response was:.

"Because you are not a member of namepros anymore does not mean you should not honor the agreements with those people who trusted you and paid you. I don't think it is anyone's fault that you were banned from namepros. We trusted you, and I know you made many purchases with your NP$, so you did gain HostGator names and registrations out of the NP$ you collected from those who purchased your hosting..

I think you are being unfair, and think you should take out your frustrations regarding your banned membership on someone else, and not those who paid you in good faith..

Could you at least grant me access to the cpanel so I could copy my files?".

My biggest mistake was not keeping copies of my files, but I figured I had time. His hosting prices are not bad- but I will not give this guy a penny..

Is there anything I can do?.

Thanks so much in advance for your advice...

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably know..

No there's actually one more thing he should do..

As long as he's talked to guy and basically been told to take a hike.

You should post the host with the info on the problum..

Then let the guy know about the thread and tell him he can.

Give his side in the thread or GF Himself..

These boards were started so webmasters can talk about things.

Relating to us and Hosting is one of them..

To say someone backdoored ya and not say who did it leaves.

The door open for one of us to get ripped..

At worst he might let you get in and recover your folders to make him look alittle better to other potental customers....

A deal is a deal....he should honor his deal (after it's up,...thats a diffrerent story)if he doesnt honor it...I would post on every Web hosting forum about his integrity!.

We need to EXpose dishonest hosters like these!!!!!..

Thanks so much for your feedback, everyone! I didn't think there was much I could do- I'm just a total fool for not backing up my files! Hopefully this will serve as a lesson to others to NOT make the same stupid mistakes I've made. This sort of thing always happens to me because I am too trusting. Namepros is the BEST HostGator forum on the internet, but there are some jerks out there who join and take advantage of the honest and trusting. That's why I am happy to know that these jerks are caught and banned, thanks to the great NP staff..

Anyway, please continue to post your thoughts & opinions, as they are always very much appreciated!.

Let me guess:.

FARKIE.COM is/was your host?.

A quick look at previous posts would suggest that they shouldn't be trusted anyway..

Looks like he has at least one other user name or at least a shill. (Loser Music).

Add that to selling his signature and buying other people's signatures and various other sleezy looking deals by the user Psycho and it doesn't surprise me that they screwed you..

People like this give the hosting industry a very bad name...
