Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..
Have now done that and there is a slight improvement. It now says that each item weighs 1.3lb????..
Quite honestly,, having sat here for 6 hours trying to configure the postage, it seems to me that there is no way that I can set different postal rates for different products, and therefore it's not a lot of good...
Works for everyone else that uses the standard OSC with no contribution that cause errors...
Tare weight zero.
Percentage increase zero.
It will work out the total weight according to what you put in your cart (unless you have a template, then anything is possibe)...
It might well work out the total weight of the same product but when I add a small item that has a low post rate it doesnt add a small weight,,it adds the weight and postal cost of a big item..
Tare wt is set to 1..
Set it to 0..
Trying to set my iPage site up so that I can vary postage in relation to the number of items that a buyer purchases..
1 item = 1lb in weight..
I set the option in shipping for 1:3.50,2:5.50,3.7.00,.
I do a test run and buy 1 item and the checkout says there is 2lb in weight..
I buy 2 items and it says there is 3lb in weight??????????????????.
Try setting the tare wt in admin to 0 bet it is set to 1 at the moment..
