My 1st question is: I called Nutrisystem because I'm like so overweight? Thanks in advance for any response. 2nd question I got is.. Hello to all in "Mens Town". I wanted to Introduce myself my name is Danny B..

I live in East Central Illinois in the middle of the corn fields with my wife Kathy, (known as Labwench here on NS) 12 Australian Cattle Dogs, 2 freaked out cats, and 1 horse..

I restarted Nutrisystem 6-17-09 at the weight of 358. (heaviest I have ever been) I am doing the Flex Plan. I wanted to work on food in the real world as I also do NS. I love the way things are going and was pleased to total 51. lbs lost when I weighed in this morning..

I was on Nutrisystem in 04' and lost 90 lbs, but did not follow up with the lessons learned. I'm a little hard headed. This go around I plan on doing this just this last time and will take my lessons to heart and maintain properly when I get to goal..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

Danny, great job so far! I find these boards are very helpful to me. I too lost a great deal of weight on Nutrisystem last year, put back on most of what I lost, and made up my mind that this time enough was enough. As much as you learn from other folks on this board, I need to make sure and really pay attention and change this time..

100 lbs.

To lose and in just.

5 weeks.

Keep after it. and KEEP POSTING. When people disappear, they go off plan and GET FAT. A post a day keeps the cheating at bay...

Thanks, I plan on regularly posting now that I have started. I have done the quit posting, disappear, and get fat again thing... Didn't like it and it is not going to happen again..

Thanks for posting Danny. I've been a life long yo-yoer - this is it for me. I hit my goal and bounced - but I'm winning the battle. I hit my post goal high of 220 for the second time this last Monday. The rest of the week has been great and I'm down 4 pounds. I'm FINALLY getting it through my head that "abstinence" is forever...

Hey Danny... I have a similar story and I think it is probably a common one.... I originally lost 40 pounds in 3 months on the program a year and a half ago... I was excited to hit my goal and went into maintenance mode which went for awhile, but I fell back to my normal bad habits and gained back 30 pounds... I am now back on the program with a goal to lose at least the 30 pounds in two months and then hopefully be able to eat smartly and excercise more often..... Good luck to you... I will be pulling for you......

Posting again. I didn't get fat, but I need to be kept honest..


OK so I updated my ticker. I still maintain that I'm not fat though. (I did P90X for the past 2 months and just got back form 3 weeks off exercise and eating healthy due to extensive travel and work stress..

Back on plan for past 48 hours and doing my best...

Good point... Started off good, but will try and be realistic about how much I can lose in such a short amount of time......

With the first month "kicker", you've got a shot if you stay strictly on-plan and don't do any body building. Aerobic exercise won't hurt. Go for it! No guarantees, everyone is different with loss rates, but 10 lb/month plus your first 10 lb "freebie" puts it in the realm of the possible, depending on your own metabolism, etc. Caution - that 5-10 lb water and digetstive system kicker comes right back on immediately, so take your goal at least 5 lbs below where you really want to stay if you go off Nutrisystem foods. If you can pull close to 20 lbs in the first month, you'll make it!.

A suggestion, Rat: Why not just make a goal to run the program PERFECT for 60 days? Then whatever loss happens is what happens (and it will be very large.) Gives a better result than an approach that accepts going off plan.....
