Looks like Paypal's new Auto Return feature could be a simple solution..
It means the customer no longer has to click to get back to your iPage site after paying, hopefully stopping those lost order details..
You can select it in the "Merchant Tools" section of your Paypal account..
Set the return URL as.
Then make any appropriate changes to the includes/languages/english/checkout_success.php file to make it clear to your customers that their order is paid for and complete (I cut and pasted Paypal's suggested text, and added a link to the account_history.php file)..
Pretty straightforward, and seems to do the job from my brief testing...
As far as the paypal, whats happening is people aren't clicking continue or whatever once they finish paying via Paypal, so it isn't telling Oscommerce that the transaction has been completed - Therefore I don't get any info on the order. This must be a problem for several people...
Because I did a double check and it only confirms the order once the customer comes back to the Checkout_success page..
Besides the paypal mod I also use the following:.
With this you can see what the customer had in the cart. Then with your own test account, create a duplicate order. Then make appropriate amendments in the database...
- We are getting orders regularly paid through paypal, however we have no clue what these people are ordering because the actual order with part information isn't coming thru..
Above and beyond that Microsoft just released a update that messed up our shopping system and half of the credit card orders we receive come thru fine, but there is one thing missing... without the card number. Any info or help on this would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance...
