Quick question... I have created a iPage site but after I finished it did not work!-why? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: I'm getting this error message when I try to upload pictures:.

ERROR_DESTINATION_NOT_WRITEABLE.

Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /web/osc/images/.

Any clues on how to fix this?..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..

Hi I am having trouble uploading images. They are showing in file manager, yet are not showing in the admin, nor in the shop (public viewing) I have set my permissions to 777 and don't understand why. I have no problems uploading them to a sister iPage site I am working on with the same server. I have checked that all permissions and files are identical except for the name and items of course, yet nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

PS do I have to reset the permissions every time I want to add another image?.

OK I'm sure this is an incredibly stupid question, but where do I set the permissions? I've looked at my configure.php files and I don't see where to do this?..

In your server's cpanel you will need to go to your "catalog" folder and then find the images folder. It should be one under this folder. Usually located in your "public_html" folder from the root directory. You don't need to open the file. Just click on it and then you will see some options of what to do with the file. There will be an option to "change permissions" Just change it to 777 (all the ticks should be there).

Hope this is of some help to you..

You could try 755 permissions..

If you have to use 777 permissions the last post here has a good tip:.

Click me.

I can\'t guarantee it will make you "bulletproof", but it looks good...
