Question I have... I need a good free forum and iPage web hosting place. Know any? Thanks in advance for any answer. My 2nd question... A few months ago I asked about setting up a iPage blog on me frontpage of my iPage site but I couldnt get it working so I thought id ask a similar thing...

I want my front page to have articles that I will add 2/3 times a month. The front page will hold 4 articles and then they will be archived and made available through links at the bottom of the page. I would like the intro that I have to remain where it is and the new stuff to be added below, is there away that I can do this?.

Im open to all suggestions and even quotes for the work (pm me).

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..

Your knid of there, basically I want what is essentially a blog, and each week or so I will put up a author review so that as someone arrives they will see it under the welcome text..

These will be added to by pushing the previous "entry" down until it drops off the page. A bit like this forum really but that looks just like text on the front page,.

I wouldnt do it if the only way would be to edit the mainpage each time...sheesh that would be a ball ache.

I hope this explains it a bit better!.

Cheers..

Oh, I thought you wanted something fancy. That is just straight html. Now I'm really confused. Why can't you just list them?.

<ul>.

<i>Article One</li>.

<i>Article Two</li>.

<i>Article Three</li>.

</ul>.

What am I missing?.

Because ideally I want something thats idiot proof, like that article manager, so that my associates wont trash the site, but can add stuff to it..

Maybe the Article Manager contribution would work for you..

I'm not clear on what you are asking. If you want to add a scrolling window that contains a list of your articles (or something like that), I've seen sites here on the forum that had a box in one of the columns that scrolled things like new products. I would think that is a contribution or some javascript code but it is doable. If you just want a scrollable box to display a list of articles, a textarea box in a form would work I think. If you are just talking about adding links to articles, you will need to do this manually as they become available. Or have I totally misunderstood your question?.
