First off, I need a site 4 free web iPage hosting service.? Thanks for any response. My other question... I recently found out that after logging into my iPage site (the catalogue bit not the admin), when I click the button to go back on to the main page it automatically logs me out and it keeps on doing that every time I click to go on to the main page..

Dont no why this is happening..

Any help would be great!.

Thanks, Tom.

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

What needs to be done to fix it?.

The HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN must match the iPage domain of HTTP_SERVER and HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN must match the iPage domain of HTTPS_SERVER. Note that the cookie domains are exactly that - domains. For example, 'example.com'. They are NOT URLs!.

One problem I see people have is that they update configure.php, upload it, and the problem persists. That's because the file didn't actually get uploaded - the normal "protected" state of configure.php blocks the upload. The solution is to delete the old file on the server first and then upload a new one. An alternative is my Protection of Configuration contribution, which lets you turn protection on and off in admin...

This is my configure.php file can anyone spot anything wrong, as when customers login and then return to the main page it automatically logs them out..

Works for me - I don't get logged out. I note that you have not yet enabled SSL. I also think that your COOKIE_DOMAIN defines should leave off the www. or www1., though I admit I am not entirely sure how that works. Your store did not set a cookie for me, suggesting that the iPage domain is incorrect...

Thanks for your response, it's when you log in and then go onto a different page say the shipping page and then as soon as you click on the 'top' button it logs you out. Strange..

Ive taken off the www. and the www1. but no change..

It leaves a cookie for me so the iPage domain must be correct. I dont know what is wrong with it..

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks, Tom...

Your cookie paths dont match what you have for the catalog paths..

If in doubt just set the cookie paths to '/'..
