I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..
Unfortunatly my web host does not offer such a control panel. I have to do it manually.....
OK I have manual instructions if you want them...
Isnt there a contribution that shows all the info for your store (like how to contact, where you are located, and what you stiore is about) AND allows customers to sign up for an account and once they have an account then they can see your products.. wouldnt that be better?? just a thought..
Depends if thats what he wants or not I guess, but seeing as though he did not ask for that I would let him make his own mind up, from what was said in the original post it's nots what he is after...
Yes, thank you very much! That would be just great!.
No, the store can`t allow anyone but selected customers to enter. The store is set up for a specific group of customers. They have ordered the solution this way..
I am setting up a new store and want it to be password protected so only customers with username and password is able to access the store. It is good enough with the same username and password for all customers. How do I do this?.
The store is now installed successfully and I can see there is already a .htaccess file in the catalog folder and one in the admin folder. I have set username and password for the admin folder during installation. Now I would like to set it for the catalogfolder. Any suggestions? Can I use the .htaccess file in the catalogfolder somehow for this or is it used for something else?.
Yes use the htaccess file, in your Web iPage site iPage hosting control panel, use the folder protection feature to apply a password + username.
