Quick question... I need to lose weight. I am border-line diabetic. Should I try Nutrisystem? Many thanks for any comment. Second question of mine... Or should I say "more tolerable".

I have been riding the stationary bike about 6 miles (30 minutes) a day. In the past 2 weeks I have exercised 8 days... Pretty good for me considering I havent exercised (on purpose) once in the past 2 years!.

I chose the stationary bike because for me, it was the lowest impact, and I found that rollerblading on the treadmill wasnt even getting my hear rate up! LOL..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you an answer..

The trick to rollerblading on the treadmill is the proper installation of the bungee cords...

Good stuff, Cing! I realized I had not intentionally exercised in almost 35 years! The first time I tried to run this year, I looked like a really old cripple hobbling around. Pretty pathetic. It's coming along..... Now I just look like a runner-wannabee toddling along. It's weird how I still had the self-image of my high-school track days. What a delusion! I've challened my kids to run with me on the boardwalk this summer over vacation.

I'd hate to be the one to tell you this but our bodies become more efficient at any given task so as you progress, be honest with yourself and increase resistance as you see fit to keep challenging your body. unless you are still seeing results than stick to what you're doing. What I have found though is that results slow unless I push a bit harder when things get easier. good luck..

Yeah I hear ya... I figured someone would misunderstand my "easier" comment assuming I meant not as physically taxing....

I meant not as.

Taxing... I still hate hate hate it, but it isnt quite as difficult talking myself into doing these days!.

My hard and fast rule of not running unless being chased is slowly fading away...

I am with you Cing. I have been getting up early to do my workouts and I now I am finding I actually enjoy them. I find my best workouts now are when push myself to workout when I even consider blowing it off that morning...

I think the best way to be successful on any diet is to add some exercise......

I was there! If there was something I could hate that couldn't hate me back it was exercise!.

But now I am a gym rat. My day is not complete unless I've been in the gym and working out. I'm so addicted that I took a last minute vacation with family last week and my trainer at the gym was freaking out when I showed up this week. He said he couldn't believe that he hadn't seen me for a week and told me that in the future all vacations need to be cleared through him. I never thought I'd be missed in a gym!.

Bottom line is this - keep at it! It's worth every rep, every set, every mile run, etc...
