I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably know..

Hi there,.

What we are trying to do is add a banner from another iPage website onto our home page, preferably at the bottom of the page (footer), the bit where the oscommerce copyright is..

I've managed to get into banner manager, and think I'm putting all the right fields in, it says the banner is inserted, but I can't find it! I don't think I'm doing it all right. Its driving me nuts now, as I've been at it all day..

I'm a real newbie to this, and don't have have enough (if any) html knowledge..

Hope you can help!.

Thanks..

Make sure that you are adding the banner to the same group as the oscommerce banner. It determines what banner to display based on group name. The group name should be something like 468x50..

You are a STAR!.

Have managed to get the link on. Just one more thing though, at present it's in the centre, is it easy enough to move to the left or right?.

Many thanks for your help!!.

Yes, if you open catalog/includes/footer.php you will see how the html sets the align parameter to center change this to left or right..

We have seen the file your talking about and the html text you mean. We are trying to keep the oscommerce copyright link in the middle and move the new link we have added to the left to allow for other links to be added at a later date..

Thanks.

I may not be understanding what you are asking. If you want the text to the left but still below the copyright, then you just need to change the align, if you want to have the banner to the left of the copyright text, find the following section of code.

   <td align="center" class="smallText">.

<?php.

/*.

 The following copyright announcement can only be.

And add before it.

<?php.

 if ($banner = tep_banner_exists('dynamic', '468x50')) {.

?>.

   <td align="left"><?php echo tep_display_banner('static', $banner); ?></td>.

<?php.

 }.

?>.

And below remove.

<?php.

 if ($banner = tep_banner_exists('dynamic', '468x50')) {.

?>.

<br>.

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">.

 <tr>.

   <td align="center"><?php echo tep_display_banner('static', $banner); ?></td>.

 </tr>.

</table>.

<?php.

 }.

?>.

Thank you for all of your help, I'm a bit wary of altering too much incase I make a complete mess of my site. I think I need to study html before I make any major changes..

Thaks again, very much.

Thanks boys. In my highly modified osC code I was missing the "<td align="center"><?php echo tep_display_banner('static', $banner);.

And the banner wouldn't work. Weird what these osC theme modifiers do to the original code...
