Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..
Either that, or the 'order status' has somehow not been set to what it should be. If you've recently made changes to your cart involving order status, you might want to check the DB using phpmyadmin to see if the order is there, and if so what status it has...
Hi Both and thanks for your replies..
I have checked the ordewr status for the affected orders and it is set to "99999"..
What does this mean, !.
Did you recently install something you've forgotten to tell us about?.
Maybe the PayPal IPN contribution or something?..
I have not installed any additional moduals of late but what I have done is move the e-shop to a new iPage domain name. I have today checked the details on the PayPal account which my client uses and I did find that the notifcation URL was still pointing at the old iPage domain name. I have now changed this to reflect the new iPage domain name..
I have tested the system but making a purchase but there is still no record in the orders section of the e-shop admin. It may be that the change to the PayPal account details will take a little longer than I have given it..
Could this have been the problem? I think it may well be..
My e-shop has been running for months without any problems BUT now I have one..
User can logon to the e-shop, place an order, get directed to paypal, enter the info required, make the purchase, and get redirected back to my e-shop..
BUT, when I get notification that someone has made a purchase I look in the customer orders and it is blank..
I can not work out what is happening..
Can anyone help..
This happens because the customer has not clicked continue after making payment to bring them back to your store and since osC does not actually create the order until they come back no order is created. You can install the paypal shopping cart ipn contribution which records the order before the customer leaves your store for paypal thus solving the problem or if you are only having this problem very rarely then you could install the recover carts contribution which is a useful thing to have anyway and will allow you to get the order info for the occasional missing paypal order...
