That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..

HTML FAQ:.

Q. Do I have to put HTML attributes in quotes?.

A. Only if they have spaces or special characters..

Examples of good code:.

<table height=500 width=75% border=5>.

<tr bgcolor=#cfcfcf>.

<tr align=center>.

<form name=form1 action="submitAction.cfm" method=post>.

<input type=text name=titles value=history>.

<input type="text" name="titles" value="history">.

<input type=text name="titles of classes" value=history>.

Examples of bad code:.

<input type=text name=titles of classes value=history>.

<input type=text name=titles value=history()of*cars/#>.

If your dynamically creating pages with server side code, and your setting attributes/ values-place them in quotes just in case..

Examples of good coldfusion server side code:.

<input type=text name="#query.name#" value="#query.value#">.

The rendered code might look like:.

<input type=text name="Types Of Beer" value="O'dells 90 Schilling">..

Examples of good code:.

<table height=500 width=75% border=5>.

<tr bgcolor=#cfcfcf>.

That is not correct..

The 75% should be quoted "75%" as the % is something other than A to Z and 0 to 9..

The #cfcfcf should be quoted "#cfcfcf" as the # is something other than A to Z and 0 to 9..

Netscape ignores many unquoted attributes for example..

The HTML 4.01 specification recommends to quote all attributes..

For XHTML and XML all attributes.

MUST.

Be quoted..

It is easier to just quote everything, saving more work later...

There were a number of errors in the original code, apart from the nesting problem..

You must only have.

One.

Body tag, and the colour should be hashed and quoted:.

<body>.

<body bgcolor=000000>.

This should just be:.

<body bgcolor="#000000">.

The.

<h1>.

Tag is a block level element, so should not be inside inline elements such as.

<b>.

:.

<td align=left><b><h1>Cordova Bay Freeride Krew</h1></b></td>.

This should be:.

<td align="left"><h1><b>Cordova Bay Freeride Krew</b></h1></td>.

But you may not even be allowed to use.

<h1>.

Inside a table. I'll have to recheck that...

You can. Check out.

My site.

It validated and I use header tags inside a table.

I automatically nest everything I can in quotes, I think it's a good habit to have since that's how the standards are evolving...

Just like illusionaz.. I see no problem with this. I do it on my website. I dont see what problem this would create. If you wanted to format the text inside without using <h1> in the <td> tag, you could just specify a class <td class="something"> and then use css with the attribute td.something and format your text that way..

I see no problem with using a <h1> inside a cell though...

After I added header and alt tags, my page rank increased 2 points! Im hoping to build a PR 7 soon.....

I wasn't sure if a block-level element such as.

<h1>.

Was allowed inside a.

<td>.

Element. Thanks for clarifying that it is allowed. Certainly the block-level.

<h1>.

Is not allowed inside the inline.

<b>.

Element. It must be the other way around...

Aren't header tags automatically in bold? Ive even tried to set there font-weight down in my style sheet, and no progress..
