Got a question, hope someone can answer... I would like to find a company to host my website, I currently use 123 reg..? Many thanks for any comment. Another question on my mind: I have been seeing alot of commercials lately with no other purpose than to direct you to a 123 reg website HostGator name..

Such as local classified ad websites, local video sites, TV network sites, Gamers Sites, 123 reg commercials, and just alot of other various commercials that promote websites..

And if the commercial isn't for a 123 reg website it almost always has a URL show up somewhere..

I wonder if this is just a local thing or have there been alot of TV 123 reg website commercials in your area too?..

Since they like spending so much for advertising maybe I can get all these fortune 500 companies to pay me to list all their TM's on one website. Yeah, now thats an expensive homepage feature..

Here is an interesting tactic..

I just saw a commercial for.

Saying "come now and bid".........

But the URL advertised was.

I checked and it looks like.

They own 10-100

And probably more..

Kinda a good idea to track commercial/website traffic return and demographics..

What do you all think?..

Wow, is that worth the trouble?.

And ontopic, yes, more and more companies are increasingly directing their customers to their websites..

There also seem to be increase of such websites;.

Which is actually Dove's..

Yeah, I see a lot of commercials these days where companies are advertising their websites as well..

Looks like is not the only company who advertises using this method..

I just saw a commercial for.

Well don't ya know it takes you to Looking more closely I can see that they own a hundred or more of these types of DNs..

I wonder if owning all of these DNs is worth the reg fees? Isn't there any other way to keep stats on your commericals and the traffic they produce?..

Many of the "cheaper" companies put something link:.

Anything after the / represents the area they are targeting...

In the UK, and are heavily advertised..

Crazy Fox is an MLM scheme, (Herbalife, I think) so for every person who pays the $200 fee for the 'starter pack' or whatever it was they've already paid for 28 domains- they'd only need about 40 people to join to cover the registration costs of the domains assuming 1111x$7 registrations. Which is probably a small percentage of the cost of the adverts anyway..

I've noticed this with channels:.

E.g. or

(and also in magazines the same company would use

So they can see which method works the best and direct more of the advertising budget in that direction...
