You can easily change the Copyright notice in includes/languages/english.php (or whichever language is appropriate to your shop). You want to modify the FOOTER_TEXT_BODY define..

Good luck!..

Hi,.

I'm trying to understand this, so please excuse my ignorance. Some questions to clarify what constitutes a "modification". All the questions are to do with the Catalog module..

1. The quote mentions theme as distinct from template ??.

2. Would a colour change (via std osC stylesheet) constitute a 'modification distinction' ? .

3. Considering that the use of an osC 'template' contribution still carries an osC copyright notice (I think it does), then would the use of such a template (BTS , STS,etc) contribution, be sufficient grounds for modifying or removal of the osC copyright notice on the Catalog module.

4. Would a (very) minor change to the std osC layout/theme constitute grounds for "modification" (e.g. I'm using languages to control 3 domains on one website, and need to remove the language 'box' )...

I actually don't want to remove it totally (credit given where credit is due, and osC is a great product), only modify the copyright notice, leave the "Powered by ... link line, and remove the osC logo at the bottom. But I'd like to know what exactly constitutes sufficient grounds to establish the fact that the.

Distinction.

Qualifies..

Thanks,.

I think it means that simply not changing the colour gives you premission to remove the text. you have to make - 'considerable' changes to the layout i.e. bg images, colour changes, structure, etc..

Hope that help..

Hi,.

....

Not.

Changing the colour, don't you mean.

Changing.

The colour ? .

There would need to be a definitive statement from osCommerce developers or 'admin' people, as to what constitues 'change'..
