Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you help..
Thanks for your response. I have already edited the shopping_cart file and the Osc checkout no longer appears there but "Checkout" still appears on the navigation bar. any other ideas or suggestions?..
Halfway down the file, just comment out the echo call for the checkout link underneath <td class=headerNavigation>..
//echo blah blah blah.
I would post the code, except I deleted my line for it entirely, so I figure that wouldn't make any sense if you looked at it. You could just comment it out. Or get rid of it..
Find this code in includes/header.php and comment out the links you don't need.
<td align="right" valign="bottom"><?php echo '<a href="'tep_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL')'">'tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES'header_account.gif', HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT)'</a> <a href="'tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART)'">'tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES'header_cart.gif', HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS)'</a> <a href="'tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL')'">'tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES'header_checkout.gif', HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT)'</a>'; ?> </td>..
I'm using Google Checkout solely and would like to eliminate the OSC "Checkout" from my navigation bar so that customers are not misled into filling out their details twice as it is uneccesary for them to register on my iPage site in order to make a purchase. I would like to leave no alternative other than to head for the Google Checkout once they have merchandise in their cart. Can anyone assist me? I'm a shopkeeper with virtually no knowledge of coding but am quite capable of modifying files if told which file and what code to eliminate. Please help..
Simply edit the shopping cart file and remove all the links to account, as your clients can checkout without having account on your iPage website via Google Checkout...
