That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably can answer it..
No kidding, it'd be a HUGE mistake on their part think of the number of customers they're going to lose....
Not only that, but think of the MEDIA coverage they're going to get in forums, etc when people hear and start spreading word that they've stopped accepting PayPal... Doesn't sound that bad now that you think about it... And after all, they could all of a sudden start taking it again....
*hopes that GD doesn't stop accepting PP, then I have to use a CC for all my new transactions*.
Or my registrar.
Its a HUGE mistake. You can consider me gone. I use godaddy for the occasional HostGator or two... Ill betransfering those out as soon as this is verified...
It looks like it's true....
That's their payment methods, doesn't show Paypal..
I'm calling them, and I'll let you know what I learn..
I'm on hold right now I'll post back here when I've gotten an answer directly from the source..
Option is missing for me as well... was there on friday night when I regged 2 domains there. the paypal logo is still on the bottom of every page, but clicking it takes you to a page that doesnt mention paypal at all...
Well, I logged into my account, and sure enough it's gone..
I even had the "account on file" option, so that I didn't have to go thru the normal checkout procedure every time (billed my PP account automatically) and it's disappeared from the interface..
This will definately stop me from renewing at Godaddy. I'll probably just sell the majority of the domains in my account, as I quite frankly do not have the cash to transfer them out..
I just hope that this isn't true, as it'd be plain awful..
I just got off the phone with GoDaddy the PayPal gateway was incorrectly reading people's orders and was either charging them too much or too little for their transactions. It's going to be down until some time tomorrow (they didn't know exactly when)..
Hope this helps.
That's good news. Thanks for making the phone call Rick...
You got me scared then... I'd be moving away from GD if they removed PayPal support...
That is cool ,Im glad they not going to drop it but they could have posted some thing on their website about it so their customers knew what was going on..
Woah early this morning I was gonna reg some domains in GD and boo! it surprised me with no paypal. Well, they're definitely gonna lose some 10 20 HostGator regs from me today. Let's move on to Enom termporarily then. Hehe..
First Registerfly and now GoDaddy..
Hope "temporary" means temporary..
Dang, looks like we missed out scooping up all of steveh's domains in a fire sale, hehe.......
