I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could assist you..
How would I fix that? I uploaded them like I do everything else...
Which products are affected as the one I looked at is okay now...
Well, I put "calculate Image" to fales, and they appear, but now my other graphics are way out of porportion..
Its driving me mad...
In the Admin->Configuration->Images screen, set only one dimension for the images, Width OR Height. Leave the other blank (not "0"). This should correct the distortion...
I tried that, bu then instead of my thumbnails, I get the ful size images which are quite large...
Set the width to "75" or whatever size you want for the thumbnail and leave the height blank, or leave the width blank and set the height to "75"...
Same thing is happening here, even if I leave one blank, or set to 0, they appear as full sized images and not scaled down to the appropriate width...
I had similar issues and kept tweeking the settings in Admin-Configuration->Images until I got it the way I needed it. There are also some good "threads" on image sizes etc. in the forum search facility..
My settings are as follows:.
Small Image Width (blank, ie. null).
Small Image Height 100.
Heading Image Width (blank, null).
Heading Image Height 60.
Subcategory Image Width 0.
Subcategory Image Height 57.
Calculate Image Size true.
Image Required false.
Damn that was fast..
Calculate Image Size was set to False. Switched to True... and and... anbd....
Well whadda ya know? It works..
I'm having this same problem in a new store I created from my current online store. All the settings and files are identical (catalog & admin, except for sessions, cache and configure files), yet for some reason the leaving the Small Image Height blank is not working in the new store. Calculate image size is set to true just like in the current store, but I am forced to put a number in the Small Image Height so they don't show up regular size, which then distorts some of the pictures. Could one of the files mentioned above that I didn't copy be the reason this can't happen anymore?.
Well I did find "my" problem and it was the configure.php files that were affecting this. By chance, I printed out 1 set from the existing iPage site and compared to the new upcoming iPage site and they were different (under catalog/includes and admin/includes)..
I'm not sure if this has something to do with the different versions of osCommerce being used but it worked. I went back to my new store admin section, changed the Small Image Height to blank and all was well..
Both Cookie_Path - Did not have /catalog/.
DIR_WS_IMAGES - shown as /catalog/images/ ....removed the /catalog/.
DIR_WS_ICONS - same, removed the /catalog/.
DIR_FS_CATALOG - shown as dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME'])); ......... changed to /home/youruserid/public_html/catalog/');.
STORE_SESSIONS - added mysql (not sure if this was necessary or not but made it the same as my existing store just in case).
Hope this helps anyone else having the same problem. Just remember to make an original copy of both configure.php files in case it doesn't work for you so you can switch them back...
I just uploaded some eupdated product graphics, and all I get it the "red x" instead of an image. However, when I click to enlarge it, the graphic then shows up, as well as in the admin panel. Any help would greatly be appreciated. you can see what I mean here. www.customnutritionwarehouse.com..
They appear to be being drawn from different directories...
