Question I have... iPage hosting service and Colocation Service? Hoping for any answer or 2. Another question I got... I've installed the apache 2 ,php,mySql and the oscommerce..

After solving some problems, everything worked and the installation process completed without a problem..

While running the catalog or the addministrator. I get error messages above the "shop" page. the error is:.

Warning: session_start(): open(/tmp\sess_e298d2260fedec5e27720f557b8426dc, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php on line 67.

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php:67) in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php on line 67.

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php:67) in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php on line 67.

And below the page I get this error:.

Warning: session_write_close(): open(/tmp\sess_e298d2260fedec5e27720f557b8426dc, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php on line 106.

Warning: session_write_close(): Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\catalog\includes\functions\sessions.php on line 106.

It seems that the osCommerce can't find folder '/tmp'..

Where do I need to make one, and how do I solve this problem..

Thnx.

I knew that a tmp is missing.

But I could'nt know where.

I've tryied any possible location I could thought. accept the root directory.

Anyway it's working fine and looks great..

I think you sould tell the installer to make such directory if missing. and make the error message more clear. not just saying which line of the code make the error. also telling from which location on the system the "tmp" is missing..

Thnx for u'r help.

Well, even after I made the /tmp the error kept on returning..

Anyone got a clue?..

Comment #3

You may just want to store all session info in the database and not deal with tmp..

Change the last line in the following files.

Catalog/includes/configure.php.

Admin/includes/configure.php.

From.

CODE.

Define('STORE_SESSIONS', '');.

To.

CODE.

Define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');.

HTH.

If this problem is on windows system. Then it can be fixed by creating 'tmp' directory in c:\..
