iPage - How do I upload more than one file?

Got a quick question: iPage - How do I upload more than one file? Looking forward for any answer. My other question... We are currently running osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 and are having problems with index.php not loading correctly. When you first load index, the footer is moving up under where my catalog right appears. When you hit refresh, it corrects itself and the footer is at the bottom where it belongs..

I went in and did a view source when it's loaded incorrectly, and also once after I refreshed it and it shows up correctly. It appears as though something is adding an extra < at the very beginning of my document and then I have a table that isn't formatted properly the first time my page is loaded, then it magically corrects itself when you refresh the page..

Does anybody have any idea what the dilly-o is with that?.

Thanks!..

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably know..

Hello.

I have a similar problem in that the info boxes on the right in my iPage site are appearing to wide at times due to a table tag appearing only as < instead of </table>.

If I refresh it fixes it but then it messes up again when I change pages..

I believe this may be a php flaw which has now been fixed but my host is only running php version 4.2.3 and show no sign of upgrading..

If anyone knows another way of fixing this it would be very much appriciated...

Version: oscommerce-2.2ms2.

PHP Version: 4.2.3.

OS: Linux.

Browsers: IE 6.0 and Netscape 7.02.

GZip via osC: Off.

I too have this problem. Being new to oscommerce, I figured it was my naivety [and still may be!]. My symptoms are as previous (fresh reload usually fixes the issue). In my resulting HTML, I’m seeing the following:.

Corrupted Output:.

 </tr>.

<!            </td>.

         .

<! best_sellers _eof //>.

<! right_navigation_eof //>.

Correct Output:.

 </tr>.

</tbody></table>.

           </td>.

         </tr>.

<! best_sellers_eof //>.

<! right_navigation_eof //>.

Notice the extra tags? I had assumed that I corrupted the files somehow (and re-uploaded index, left, right, etc.). Alas, the problem remains..

Check your file to ensure that the tag is actually there..

It may be missing and the browser is correcting the problem on the refresh...

Rkoch you beauty.

I must of looked at that bug page a dozen times, I tried removing the comment in front of the line reading.

# php_value session.use_trans_sid 0.

But that di nothing on my remote server and broke the iPage site locally..

I can't upgrade PHP on the remote server..

Forcing cookie usage is a crap idea as users won't know what to do and anyway that in it's self broke the ordering system..

But at last I spotted the tip right at the bottum and eureka!.

Adding.

Ini_set ( 'session.use_trans_sid', 0);.

At the beginning of /includes/application_top.php, after.

<?php.

Solves all problems with missing table tags...

I tried your suggestion:.

Adding.

Ini_set ( 'session.use_trans_sid', 0);.

At the beginning of /includes/application_top.php, after.

<?php.

It worked beautifully! Great job!.

Thanks soooooo much!..

THANKS ALL! I was having the same problem despite my local (working) PHP version being older than the online - I'd tried all sorts of stuff, but this one works..

Great stuff, guys. It was driving me bonkers!!!.

Ensure that you do not have multiple compressions running (e.g. GZip through osC and mod_gzip through Apache)..

That is about the only thing that I can think of other than it might be a browser rendering problem. What browser are you using?..
