That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..
Are you allowed to have.
Starting a new.
May make the browser assume that the form has actually ended. Run it through.
To confirm or deny my suspicions...
This is what I get in my mail.....
I use W98 IE6 and Outlook expresse...
This really has me bugged.
I have checked over and over with the new FORM TAGS inc and validated and yet no FORM data apart from the Subject name is being passed to the email..
I am running IE6 - Express - on XP. I have tried it with NETSCAPE, MSN 8, MSN Explorer and Opera and still the same. I even changed the default email app over to MSN 8 to see if that would help and also tried the mail prog in Netscape. Still no joy..
Can anyone else try the above code with the FORM TAG changes applied and see if the same problem is replicated..
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening????.
The page was design in DREAMWEAVER 4.0.
Why can't you use <p> tags in a form???? there are there for spacing and extra, they don't tell the from it is ended. you can even have tables in forms why woud that matter?.
But to answer you questions Stu, that is what you get while using the mailto: tag, no control over the outcome. it is best to use cgi or another serverside language. the mailto: is unpredictable and mostly works with outlook and mostly the users default is outlook so if they have Netscape it will not work as NS just writes to a file on the users hard drive...
Well.... try thid free CGI.
Change the email adresse and thankyou-page...
