Medifast is a wonderful program with many different types of support and a fabulous community. We understand that everyone is an adult and this is not a "mean" group. For some of us, we thrive on this program if we have a place where we are held accountable, where we commit to the program 100% and where we have a place to chat with others who feel the same..

What we believe:.

1. Cheating on Medifast is NOT a strategy to get us out of our fat suits.

2. The only way for us to learn about our problems with food is to take the word "choice" out of the equation when it comes to Medifast. Our only "choice" is 5 packets and 1 weighed and measured lean and green a day.

3. We look to those who have been successful with this strategy to continuously remind us about why this way, for us, is the way to go.

4. We believe that, even though we are completely committed, knowing that we have a group that holds us accountable for our actions is both useful and important.

We commit to:.

1. Remove the word "choice" from our vocabularies.

2. Follow the Medifast plan as written, including transition and maintenance.

3. Tell our "inner brat" to shut the H-E-** up and quiet him or her through abstenance from off plan foods.

4. Give and receive tough love without complaining or calling each other "mean".

5. Cheerlead fellow group members as they follow the path to thinness.

6. Make Medifast the LAST diet we ever go on.

7. Check in with the group as often as our schedule reasonably allows.

8. Be honest with ourselves and our Medifast family and to stay 100% OP at all times. We also swear that WHEN (not if) we are having a tough time and feel like we may eat SLUDGE, to come to our Medifast family first and ask for support and help to get us through the struggle..

Morning! Thanks for getting us started, Barb and enjoy yourself..

I'm off to hug my coffee maker for a while...

Good luck, Barb..

What an exciting day. Your meal planning sounds like it will help you manage being with your high energy group getting the work done..

Have fun with them while you are inspiring me with yout energy and planning today..

Yesterday was bed day for me, recuperating from my enthusiastic day before that..

I am going to try the cycling that Chris mentioned on her blog yesterday. I'm supporting Thinhope who has been struggling for a few weeks now. Plus, I think it will be fun..

Enjoy your muscles and all your choices today, TLers..

Good morning TL....Wanted to pop in before I dig in to do some major cleaning today. Hope everyone is doing well...

Morning Barb, MT, Beth, Lynne and whoever else sneaks in..

Doing well today, nice weather again. I really need to work on getting my house ready before my dh comes home, we have a lot of things to do when he's here so I need to prep..

Thought about taking the dog to the beach but not sure if that'll happen, oldest had a friend over last night and another is coming over tonight..

Have a great day everyone!..

Morning all! Another fully packed weekend ahead for me too. I even have to do some extra J.O.B. work too. My son is going to spend the day and night with my mom tomorrow so I can get it done. Lucky for me it pays overtime..

Have a great OP weekend! I'll check in later today...

Good morning! I was scarce yesterday, but I was here in spirit. I was caught up before I went to bed last night. We went to our favorite salad and sandwich place last night for dinner. I had one bad experience there about a month ago when some bad lettuce found it's way into my salad. I sent it back (which I rarely do) and the manager was more than apologetic. In fact, on visits since then, the manager has stopped to talk to us and make sure everything was ok.

Last night he didn't stop by and I had some icky black lettuce in my salad again. I didn't send it back because it was busy there and the service was unusually slow. I picked it out and made sure it was on a napkin on the outside of our table. In addition, the chicken was dry and they sprinkled PARSLEY on top of a Caesar salad. ICK.

I've been creative lately and have jumped feet first into my jewelry making again. I made a pair or glass bead and wrapped wire earrings Thursday night and wore them yesterday. Got lots of compliments. Then I picked up some more supplies yesterday and j ust went nuts last night. I have some cleaning to do here in the house today, but will be spending some more creative energy later..

Hope everyone's having a wonderful OP Saturday!..

Happy Saturday TL'ers!.

Feelling great and looking forward to a three-day weekend. Even if I work through one of the days, I can still have two days off!.

De - I copied your garlic bread recipe and it sounds heavenly. I tend to order the same things so I may have missed the Cream of Chicken soup. I have Chicken Noodle. Wonder if I could grind it up into a powder and get the same outcome. Thanks for posting it..

Anna - I make shake cakes all the time. The chocolate ones are almost like having another brownie! I like to put cinnamon in the vanilla ones, and I'll choke down the strawberry every now and then when I'm not hungry just to get rid of them. The strawberry shakes were part of my free meals in my last order..

I made my pancake this morning and put cinnamon in it. Don't know why I never thought of that before but it tastes just like french toast! Thank goodness for WF syrup..

Going for a walk this afternoon with a group of friends (yes! I formed a walking group on fb - very proud of myself for that), and going to the new Y near my house to see if they got the stuff with my insurance straightened out. I get a free membership! Woo Hoo!.

Freya - loved what you said about getting out there and dating no matter what your size. Although I've been with my husband about 30 years, I just don't let myself be as "free" as I would if I were thinner. Somehow I need to get it in my head that he loves me no matter what, and would enjoy it if I were more myself - regardless of my weight. So this old married lady needed to hear your advice as well..

Everyone else I missed - have a HAPPY OP day!!.

, I can't have shakes at all b/c of my lactose intolerance, and it took me a bit to figure out what it was making me have such horrible pain. I will be making my soup into bread though.

Have fun walking.

Have fun with your jewelry..

I need you all to help me NOT tell my dh that I lost weight before he gets here. I am horrible at keeping secrets and this one is jumping at the bit to get out of my mouth. I only have a week before he won't have a reliable internet connection so if I can keep my big mouth shut until next Saturday I should be good...

Oh, Anna! I'd feel the same way! But think of his reaction when he finally sees you and he had no idea! You've come this far without saying anything. It will be a sweeter victory for you, too, when you see the surprise and appreciation on his face!..

Good morning TL'ers!.

We're back to typical cold, windy February weather here. I don't mind because I expect it this time of the year, but another day of 60 degrees would have been nice!.

Stress has been high lately and the urge to eat my favorite sludge is there. Its also TOM, so that doesn't help. At all. Just glad I don't have anything terrible in the house, I can definitely stop myself before I go out and buy something. Its harder when it's in the house..

I have to say that all of the inspiring posts here are a huge help..

I feel like I have a million friends going through the same thing I am, it just makes things easier. So thanks to all! I'm usually a very strong person when I set my mind to something, but this week has been a test. I'm passing!.

Anna, don't tell him! It will be soooo worth keeping your secret until he sees you!!! Really, it will! Just keep thinking that!.

Everyone else, thanks for being here!.

Nothing like coffee with my TL friends. Just with the caffeine would work faster. Ugly outside today and it's almost a definite that we should get some rain this weekend! WOOT. Things are SO dry here. We haven't had any kind of precipitation since the end of December. Going to do my usual weekend running around, get some cleaning done, then I think I may break out my sewing machine and finish up a couple of things I put on the back burner..

Anna - I know you can keep your mouth shut. You have so far, what's another few days? Just think of it as his coming home present. You don;t want to ruid the surprise. Whenever you get the urge to tell him, come and tell us instead, 'k?.

Tracey - Yes, if you grind the chicken noodle fine you should be able to use it. Same with the other "chunky" soups/stew..

Barb - Thanks for getting us going this morning. Good plan to take some Medifast with you. What a schedule indeed! Sounds like fun though. Pop in when you can..

Morning to Penny, Chickie, Beth MT and Lynne and Tara..

Anna, definitely keep the secret!! I did that many, many years ago when my xdh was out of the country for 5 weeks...I kicked it up at the gym ad ate lean cuisine for dinner every night (those were the days!) and knocked his socks off at the airport!!.

TLers, I know I don't post often, but thank you for the support and inspiration that I get to read every day...

Thanks guys I know I should and will wait, heck I've managed not to eat any sludge for 13 weeks.

How hard can lasting another 10 days be with the secret?..

Good morning, TL-ers. Barb, thanks for starting us off today. It's a gorgeous day here in SW Florida. I work every Saturday but today I'm sick, so maybe for once I'll be able to stay caught up on posts. Drinking water like crazy, trying to drown out the germs..

Anna: I am now lowering the Cone of Silence over your head. No secrets can be heard. You may not feel it, but the cone also offers the special tape that is even now being applied to your lips..

Loose lips sink ships. (WWII).

Countdown in the Cone of Silence..

I Have already modified Chris's cycling by adding my AM oatmeal. Just could miss my cereal-through-a -straw today..

TLers: enjoy your days and your choices this weekend..

Good luck with the cycling, I think I'm going to need to do it soon myself, but I can't drink shakes..

I hope you feel better!..

Good morning TLers! Just sitting here waking up to coffee and sunshine. Last night I went to a Naked Lady Party (clothes swap) and got a bunch of size 12 jeans (next size down) and some dresses I think I'll fit into this summer. I totally scored while at the same time getting rid of fat clothes!..

Sassy - what a great idea. I've never heard of a Naked Lady Party. But it sounds like fun and a great way to get new clothes and get rid of the old. Way to score!.

I am enjoying my peach oatmeal this morning. With a dash of cinnamon, one squirt of sf caramel and 8 crushed raw almonds. Good and good for me..

DH is installing new water heater today. So my job is to keep a 4 year old occupied and out of the way. Those of you with little ones know that is sometimes easier said than done. I'm sure he will be wanting to help with his little tools and all..

I hope everyone has a great OP day...

Cheri, it's great! You have to have a lot of people though to make it work. We probably had 30 ladies ranging from size 0-20 so it was great. I highly recommend organizing one!..

Cheri, lucky you for the new water heater! Ours is making our faucet sputter and DH just wants to btch about it instead of fixing it. Oh, yeah. They cost money. He could just go flush it out like I said to do, but if it works, then I'm right. Can't have that. If I'm wrong, we get to go and buy a new water heater with money we don't have.

Oh well. I'll just get used to the sputtering. It's not like he doesn't fix stuff because really he does. But I took the initiative and looked online to see exactly what's causing it and how to go about remedying the situation. That's me being proactive.

That's him being realistic. We really balance each outher out...

Good morning, afternoon (whichever applies to where you may be.

) all!.

No chopped tofu right now...I just found out that I will be "traveling" to another location tomorrow and will be gone for a week. I don't mind the job, but I have to say...getting from one point to another throughout this place is a nerve wrecking experience...and I''m grateful I don't have to "travel" often. Upside = no boss for a week (That's a very BIG upside) Downside = last time I traveled I got stuck in the other place and ran out of Medifast food and even though I'm preparing better for this trip I'm still a bit concerned...I think I'll bring enough food for a 5&1 each day but will do 4&2 just to eek it out in case that should happen again...what do you all think?..

Stay safe Rachael! I think doing 4&2 sounds like a good plan since you never know how long it'll take you to get back...

Rachael - Whatever you need to do to get through the move. Stay safe hon...

Thanks Anna and is is what scares me..

Ok, so I just got back home after some errands and got all settled in here with the computer. And I smell something. Horrible. Wondering if I left a cup with rotten medi-cement fermenting in it on the end table-nope. Start to look everywhere and realize the it's the bully sticks the dogs are chewing! OMG these are the WORST smelling bully sticks ever! Like something died! At least I found the source....

Rachael, your plan sounds fine. Stay safe..

I just got deleted again from someone's blog!.

So, instead of a pity parfty I am having a Smug party. I don't do smug though. I wish I had a gun so I could put notches in it everytime I get shot down..

Yes, I have lost count, which is why I call this home..

Have a lovely evening friends..

Beth - And here I thought I was the one everyone blocked!! Good to know I'm in such great company!! hehe.

Going to reconnect with my sewing machine. Been a while and I have some time before I have to pick up CC...

Beautiful day here, I'm in a spring cleaning mood so will go work on that before the mood disappears..

Anna, keep the secretyou'll knock his socks off!.

Rachael, stay safe! (I know you said 'safety is the easy part', but wanted to tell you anyway, LOL). Hoping you will have sufficient food for the duration of your time away..

Better get movin' or that 'mood' will evaporate......

Hi TL'ers,.

Just got back from my walk. My best friend's daughter brought her two kids ages 16 mos and 6 weeks in their two-seater stroller. Another friend brought her two big dogs. It was so nice to have some company and I'm just really proud of myself for creating this Saturday walking group on FB. I figure if no one shows, I still have my ipod. If anyone shows, I have company.

I'm so grateful for this goregeous weather in February (75 degrees!).

Rachael, I'm so amazed that you're able to do Medifast under the circumstances. You are truly an inspiration. I'm with everyone else. Whatever you need to do to stay safe. Sounds like you've already planned ahead by overstocking your Medifast meals, so 4&2 should give you that added cushion if you need it..

I have so much to do I just don't hardly know where to start. Guess I'll just pick something and GO!.

I'll check in later darlings!..

Hi all!.

Rachael - stay safe! The 4&2 sounds like a good idea..

Anna - you look fantastic! Can't wait to hear about your husband's reaction (you know, after all homing is done.

Beth - those who block you don't know you. WE do!.

To those with new water heaters...yay! To those with corpse-tastic!.

To everyone I missed...hello!.

Weighed in today...down 3, which is nice. I was hoping to be down to 210 before my Miami trip the first week of April, but at this rate, I don't think it's gonna happen. Oh well..

Blogged today about Self magazine and threw in a comment about "Swimsuits that flatter every body!" and more lies they tell. Hopefully by mid-to-end March I'll have a better idea of what suit and size to purchase!..

Just a quick hello!.

Been busy with working and social life. Not to mention follow up doctor appoints and doing my parents' taxes. But my mom is feeling better, still waiting on some tests. Thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts, it's truely appreciated..

Stay safe Rachel! 4&2 sounds like the way to go while you are unsure of your time...

It's good you're prepared. Do 4&2 if that's easier for you. Be safe...

I really need to not read thing that I know are going to make me irritated. It's time for bed...

Some people just can't take the truth. They call us militant, they call us Medifast police, all sorts of ridiculous nonsense. Those who 'get it' succeed. Those who choose NOT to 'get it' do not succeed. With a 5% success rate for long term weight management, it makes me wonder why ANYONE would NOT want to hear the truth! If you leave comments that get deleted, you hit too close to home with the blogger dear Beth. Unfortunately, some prefer denial...

Well. Now I remember why my sewing project never got done. The fabric is a nightmare! Oh well. Back to the drawing board with that one..

I've been playing with my food this evening. Whipped up a couple of egg whites and then made a packet of pancake. Added about 1 TBSP of the whipped whites to the batter and folded in. Then cooked in the waffle iron. Worked so well, I made a couple more. I have 3 beautiful Medifast belgium style waffles in my freezer just waiting to be popped in the toaster.

Love me some portable food!..
