Is iPage free, just wanted to know?

My 1st question is: Is iPage free, just wanted to know? Thanks in advance for any answer. Another quick question... Hello all,.

Basically I'm trying to configure osCom so that it will be enabled for these macroregions:.

Asia.

Eastern Europe.

Europe.

Italia.

Japan/Singapore.

Mexico/South America.

Oceania.

Usa/Canada.

Each of them should have at least 2 shipping options available..

I'm sure there already is a topic regarding this, but I honestly do not have the time for it. Also, my PHP knowledge is next to nought...

Ye, however you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else here to confirm this as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you email the iPage guys because they can assist you better...

Comment #1

Geez, why respond if all you can be is rude? Move on. Don't be a butt. I was actually looking to see if this was a solution for me, also as I am trying to troubleshoot my shipping issue..

Make a resolution - won't respond if can't be civil...

Comment #2

The response was not rude and quite civil..

The OP said.

I'm sure there already is a topic regarding this, but I honestly do not have the time for it..

Geez, so why should anyone else make time?.

This is interesting..

As for you, check out the table.php file. It has the instructions contained therein...

Comment #3

It's ok, I expected such an answer, I understand it to a degree..

@Coopco: funny link.

In any case, I don't think I made myself clear. I have actually searched for it throughout the forums, basically I cannot understand how the zone thing works, especially in reference to SHIPPING and PAYMENT modules, and LOCALIZATION/Tax classes. I couldn't find a comprehemsive thread about it. A link is all I need, really, no need to explain it again...

Comment #4

I did make a big booboo in the previous response I made in the thread, I should have said zones.php. The file itself tells how to set up multiple shipping zones..

Let us know how you get on using this...

Comment #5

Thanks, it seems helpful but since I am an absolute novice at these things, I don't know where to put my hands in that file..

For more information, I should build a table with the macroregions defined in my first post, each of which contains countries, of course..

I have already deleted from Locations/Taxes > Countries all those places I'm not going to ever ship a matchbox to, and from Locations/Taxes > Zones all those different regions/states in Austria, Germany, Usa etc which don't really make a difference..

Shall I maybe add, f. ex.:.

Europe in Locations/Taxes > Countries.

And.

Germany in Locations/Taxes > Zones.

For the system to work as I wish?.

Also, I have deleted everything in.

Locations/Taxes > Tax Classes.

And.

Locations/Taxes > Tax Rates.

But have added.

Asia.

Eastern Europe.

Europe.

Italia.

Japan/Singapore.

Mexico/South America.

Oceania.

Usa/Canada.

In Locations/Taxes > Tax Zones.

It would be great if anyone could help, sorry if this once again seems unclear..

Hello!.

I have set the number of zones to 9, compiled all the fields in the given order, yet when I update the data are not saved. Weird..

What's weirder is that the blank fields had no description above them unlike in the default case, where you can read, i.e.,.

Zone 1 Countries.

Comma separated list of two character ISO country codes that are part of Zone 1..

..

Any suggestions?..

You need to change the number of zones.

// CUSTOMIZE THIS SETTING FOR THE NUMBER OF ZONES NEEDED.

$this->num_zones = 1;.

}.

I have 5 zones thus:.

Function install() {.

Tep_db_query("insert into "TABLE_CONFIGURATION" (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added) VALUES ('Enable Zones Method', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_STATUS', 'True', 'Do you want to offer zone rate shipping?', '6', '0', 'tep_cfg_select_option(array(\'True\', \'False\'), ', now())");.

Tep_db_query("insert into "TABLE_CONFIGURATION" (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, use_function, set_function, date_added) values ('Tax Class', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_TAX_CLASS', '0', 'Use the following tax class on the shipping fee.', '6', '0', 'tep_get_tax_class_title', 'tep_cfg_pull_down_tax_classes(', now())");.

You should be able to work it out. Remember to uninstall and install in admin after you ftp the changed file to the web (and keep a backup of the original)...

Sorry I hope am not redirecting attention here. But I have a similar problem. I hope it's ok to ask here, since I saw this thread, I thought I should ask here..

Well I have read the zone.php instructions and I have set 2 zones to it. Since am in Germany I want to send National (to germany) and EU only for now. Atleast untill I get the whole iPage site working first..

1. DE (for Germany).

2. AT,BE,GB,FR,GL,IS,IE,IT,NO,NL,DK,PL,ES,SE,CH,FI,PT,IL,GR (All the EU countries).

And shipping table:.

1: 1:2.20,2:3.90,5:6.90 for Zone 1.

2. 2:8.60,5:16.00 for Zone 2.

For DE (Germany) I would like small things which are up to 1kg shipping charge to 2,20EUR.

And for products up to 2kgs shipping charge to be 3.90EUR.

And for products up to 5kgs shipping charge to be 6.90EUR etc.....

For EU I would like up to 2kgs shipping charge 8,60EUR.

And for products up to 5kgs shipping charge 16,00EUR.

And the problem is now when I go through payment and shipping it's either taking the lowest 2.20 or nothing 0.00.

I couldnt find any thread that could help yet! And the contributions also!.

I would really appreciate spending your precious time to help me here. Its only this shipping thing thats holding me up now..

Thanking you in advance..

Comment #9

You should have 3 zones, the third without any countries (rest of the world)..

In admin, shipping and packaging, tare weight should be zero (for now) and percentage increase for larger packages should be zero..

The zones table should give values up to the max weight that you will ship (also set in admin)...

Comment #10

Well I thought of adding the 3rd Zone..

But am starting very small first. Basically to ship the products to the rest of the world like Australia or USA is way too expensive.

At the moment, it's funny to offer it!.

Perhaps in a couple of months I will add more stuff to ship elsewhere. Thats why I have limited it..

I will add the 3rd zone later if it wont affect anything ofcourse..

So now shipping and packaging, tare weight is set (to zero ).

I have entered the Maximum Package Weight to ship (10).

And I can see some changes when I change the weight of the product..

I have tried the different weights to see how it functions,.

But some is not taking the exact amount like say.

2kgs to charge 3,90Euros it's charging just 3,00Euros instead..

Do you know why is this?.

Thanks for repling!.

Lalu..

Comment #11

In admin, are taxes and decimal places setup correctly?..

Comment #12

Well yes.

The Decimal Places is set to 2.

Am not charging Tax at the moment so am not using it. falsed it out for now!.

It says example display would be 30:00EUR =30:00EUR.

Lalu..

Comment #13

Sorry, do not know. You have to have something pretty basic that is wrong to get the 2kgs to charge 3,90Euros it's charging just 3,00Euros instead. How you would get it to charge less without a discount of some kind is beyond my comprehension...

Comment #14

I have tried exactly the same code you used, both for 5 and 9 zones, but it doesn't work..

Should I change sthg in this portion of code as well?.

Function install() {.

Tep_db_query("insert into "TABLE_CONFIGURATION" (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added) VALUES ('Enable Zones Method', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_STATUS', 'True', 'Do you want to offer zone rate shipping?', '6', '0', 'tep_cfg_select_option(array(\'True\', \'False\'), ', now())");.

Tep_db_query("insert into "TABLE_CONFIGURATION" (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, use_function, set_function, date_added) values ('Tax Class', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_TAX_CLASS', '0', 'Use the following tax class on the shipping fee.', '6', '0', 'tep_get_tax_class_title', 'tep_cfg_pull_down_tax_classes(', now())");.

Tep_db_query("insert into "TABLE_CONFIGURATION" (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added) values ('Sort Order', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_ZONES_SORT_ORDER', '99', 'Sort order of display.', '6', '0', now())");.

For ($i = 1; $i <= $this->num_zones; $i++) {.

$default_countries = '';..

Comment #15

No.

Did you change.

// CUSTOMIZE THIS SETTING FOR THE NUMBER OF ZONES NEEDED.

$this->num_zones = 1;.

}.

To.

// CUSTOMIZE THIS SETTING FOR THE NUMBER OF ZONES NEEDED.

$this->num_zones = 5;.

}..

Comment #16

Nevermind, I disabled the zone system and re-uploaded the file, then enabled it again. Seems to work!.

Thank you so much Coopco, I owe you a beer!..
