Got a question... Is it easy to upload Dreamweaver pages to 123 reg? Thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: Okay, I am a little confused here..

I recently searched for a City name and found that the .net is available while the .com .org .biz and .info are taken..

According to Wikipedia the City has a population of 50,000.

Is it worth purchasing at reg-fee?..

Yup, but you might want to make sure and wait for another member to confirm it as I am unsure. Better yet, why don't you contact the 123 reg guys because they can answer you better...

Well it's in INDIA, the US Ovt is low.

While there is a good monument over there to visit, I have personally visited the place and my grandmother stays there.

Also it is a CVCVC name..

India is an ancient country and has a rich history. Go get the name!..

Are you sure it's a city? In India, only small villages have population as low as 50k. Cities are generally over 1 million. So, I wouldnt register unless it's a tourist place...

The City has a population of 50,000?.

There are more than 1000 chinese cities with a population more than 500,000...

Frankly, Indian cities, even the smallest ones, have populations above 25k. But reg the name anyway. Its not going to cost you a ton..

Thats a great city thats in the news all the time...NICE!..

Register the name & let us know what it is after that..

I agree, there are plenty of 50,000 "towns" available...

Recently I brought a city in Kerala, in short it's known as Trichy..

Does it sound Intresting ? I might sell it off soon...

How much did you pay for I have the .mobi..

Hey Lorenzo do you want another famous city of to go with ludhiana?.

I searched for some and it's available...

Okay, I was a little torn apart between to-reg and not-to-reg.

Finally I registered the domain, it was

I did some research and came up with interesting facts..

"The British named it Bassein and today it is called Vasai. The most significant past in Vasai's history is the rein of the Portuguese, since they largely influenced or changed to what Vasai-Virar area is today. Historically, the entire region has attracted traders and merchants from Rome, Greece and Middle East. In 1295 AD the famous Marco Polo visited Vasai area.".

"Vasai was the seat of the Portuguese power from 1534 to 1739, after which it fell to the Marathas. The Portuguese under Nuo da Cunha built a massive black basalt fort in addition to churches as they found the site to be an apposite harbour. Vasai boomed with the spice trade and the ship building industry. The salubrious climate and the burgeoning profits saw many wealthy fidalgos — blue blooded Portuguese nobles reside here in lavish villas.".

"As of 2001 India census, Vasai had a population of 49,346. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Vasai has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 73%. In Vasai, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.".

There is a 15th century fort as well over there, the one I was referring as 'monument' in my previous post.

"In 1536, Nuno da Cunha appointed his brother-in-law Garcia de S as the first Captain-Governor of Bassein. The first corner stone for the Bassein Fort was laid by Antnio Galvo. In 1548 the Governorship of Bassein was passed on to Jorge Cabral..

In the second half of 16th century the Portuguese built a new fortress enclosing a whole town with in the fort walls..

The Fort.

I also called up my uncle who stays in Vasai regarding the Real Estate prices over there. Since I believe a Geo domains value is based on the price of Houses and if it is a good Travel Destination..

And I was very glad to hear the property rates have gone up by 15% in the last year. Due to the Over Crowding and Very high real estate prices in towns very nearby to the International Airport. People are now moving to places a little far away such as Vasai. And vasai is roughly 35 minutes journey by train to nearest Airport.

I am very happy with my reg. Thank you all...

I think you made a very good decision - the reg fee is not that much, after all...

No thanks, I got already enought .tv , now I have to sell them..

Congras ~~. hears cool even it is not a big city..

Congrats you made a wise decision in registering the domain...

FYI Trichy is in Tamil Nadu, not in Kerala. I'm from Trichy...

To be honest, it will be difficult to sell that name, because most of the people here not even know the .mobi extension and 99.9% of the people don't have mobile internet access..

Reg Fee, imho..

All the best!..

Uhm.....thanks, no problems, both of those issues will disappear with time..

Thanks for correcting me. Till now I was thinking tiruchirappalli was in Kerala..

Let see how much I can sell off for..

I don't own this domain...

Strange. Such a developed .com and .net was available. It was good decision...

As what I see and hear in the news India is said to be one of the fastest developing nations in the world and will be in the league of super power nations so like as Lorenzo said those problems are definitely going to fade in a matter of time...
