Is the Medifast Diet a good healthy diet?

Got a question, hope someone can answer... Is the Medifast Diet a good healthy diet? Thanks in advance for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Other topics will be discussed that may not be appropriate for the easily offended..

Please discontinue reading Tough Love threads if they are going to cause you to become upset..

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.

Medifast is a wonderful program with many different types of support and a fabulous community. We understand that everyone is an adult and this is not a "mean" group. For some of us, we thrive on this program if we have a place where we are held accountable, where we commit to the program 100% and where we have a place to chat with others who feel the same..

What we believe:.

1. Cheating on Medifast is NOT a strategy to get us out of our fat suits.

2. The only way for us to learn about our problems with food is to take the word "choice" out of the equation when it comes to Medifast. Our only "choice" is 5 packets and 1 weighed and measured lean and green a day.

3. We look to those who have been successful with this strategy to continuously remind us about why this way, for us, is the way to go.

4. We believe that, even though we are completely committed, knowing that we have a group that holds us accountable for our actions is both useful and important.

1. Remove the word "choice" from our vocabularies.

2. Follow the Medifast plan as written, including transition and maintenance.

3. Tell our "inner brat" to shut the H-E-** up and quiet him or her through abstenance from off plan foods.

4. Give and receive tough love without complaining or calling each other "mean".

5. Cheerlead fellow group members as they follow the path to thinness.

6. Make Medifast the LAST diet we ever go on.

7. Check in with the group as often as our schedule reasonably allows.

8. Be honest with ourselves and our Medifast family and to stay 100% OP at all times. We also swear that WHEN (not if) we are having a tough time and feel like we may eat SLUDGE, to come to our Medifast family first and ask for support and help to get us through the struggle..

Yup, but you might wanna make sure and wait for another person here to confirm my answer as I am not sure. Better yet, why don't you ask the Medifast guys because they can help better...

The new thread is up...time for me to go to bed lol. Hi everybody!!!..

Good morning you early risers! Thanks for kicking us off, Rachael. I'm down for a 100% OP day and wish the same for all my friends here! My ticker may say 131 but the scale said 132 this morningso not there yet for me!..

Morning.

Rachael.

, I'm glad you're back, sorry you have to keep switching from days/nights.

I've never tried the eggs b/c I have a severe dislike for eggs but I use them with my pudding to make muffins since I don't like that either. Oh and thanks.

Nan.

It's coming!!!.

Freya.

Hope you had a great night.

I don't have much planned for today, just getting my kids off to school and then picking up my house.. oh and buying a filter for the heating duct, and hairspray ... I got my boots and hope to take a few pics today too so I can show you all my outfit.

Morning to anyone else who sneaks in while I was typing...

Hello again everyone...I'm back and probably will be a few more times today since it's 4:19pm and so far my day completely is sucking..

I just got yelled at for doing what I thought was my job (oh, and it is *normally) except that my "new temporary" boss has no idea what my job is and doesn't like how I do it. So in one hand my "old" boss would have chewed me out if I didn't do what I did, and my "new" boss chews me out for doing it...not, by the way, that it shouldn't have been done, but the issue is that it was done, by ME....and I was explicitly told that it was not my job to do....

Darned if ya do, darned if ya don't kind of thing..

Craving for those extra large chocolate chip cookies sitting in the mess hall for free is reaching peak capacity....

Someone talk some sense into me please...

Good Morning! I forgot to mention the other day (I think) I hit my 50 lb lost mark on Tuesday. After a slow 4 weeks the scale seems to be moving again..

Freya - hope you finished the BBing and had a great night. I have an appellate decision coming out today on one of my cases and I am a wreck..

Rachael and Rachel - glad to see you both back!.

Anna - already told you on another thread but it's worth saying again - Love the hair!.

I am going to try some of the recipes from yesterday too. Thanks for posting them!.

Gotta go workout and get some coffee. Be back later...

Rachael - I can assure you from past experience, eating chocolate chip cookies will not make your boss any smarter (whether it's you or him/her eating them). hopefully the "temporary" is very temporary...

Rachael eating the sludge will not make it better. How long is your "temp boss" going to be around? Hopefully not too long. Eating the sludge will probably make you sick to your stomach and kick you out of ketosis, not worth it!!! You are doing so great.

Thanks sugar..

Rachael, don't let those cookies make you think they can help. They'll just make you bloated, hungry, cranky and STILL mad at your temporary boss! I've always liked the eggs - I just forget how easy they are. I even do them in the microwave at work. They don't smell eggy when they're cooking, which is a plus in an office kitchen..

Still keeping this cold just out of reach with Zicam. When I get up in the morning, it's there, ready to ruin my day. The commercials say they cut the duration of a cold. I don't know about that. My symptoms aren't as bad, but today is one whole week and I think, if I didn't take Zicam, I'd be pretty sick still..

Here's my pledge to a 100% OP day...

Anna love the hair...

Tough day yesterday at work and at home.... No time for anything... Falling behind on reading posts and that really keeps me motivated.. Hopefully will have some time today to pop in and out....

Well, off to shower and then to work.

Have an awesome OP day all & NO SLUDGE!!!!!!.

Cindy..

Penny, Anna, and Sugar, I know you are right...my temporary boss is in charge until the regular gets back from Block leave...in two more weeks...so I can live with it. I actually found a delicious fix...sugar free Hawaiian punch powder mix...20 calories, 2 carbs (says no carbs so I'm rounding up) and tastes like sweet sugar fruity jolly rancher candies in liquid form...killed the sweet craving almost instantly. It felt like I was almost cheating it was so good...but I do feel better right now after physically calming down my inner brat...haha it's strange...she doesn't even realize she was tricked!!.

I hoe you feel better soon Penny!.

Here's my pledge to a happier, continued 100% OP day.....

Good morning! I am committed to a 100% OP day, no corner cutting or sloppy measuring. Sludge = Pudge, my new motto..

Denise..

Good Morning, TL'ers.

Had my first day of *complete* insanity in my now 7 days OP. Actually raved around my house like a bird out of it's cage. I didn't cave and get into any "other" food, but just was snarky and yelled at TV quite a lot. Was really funny this morning when I think about things I said to the weather guy. Settled down this morning and just had my shake. 100% focused and in control.

Have a great OP day, folks!..

Good morning!.

Friday for me. WOOT! I will be working from home tomorrow, but I won't be HERE and might actually get some things done that I've been putting off. Up this morning and gor in Zumba Abs, but dang I'm sleepy. Coffee is in my hand. Just need it to work. My goal for the day is 1 - Try Penny's "custard" hehe, and 2-Clear my desk of all the paper sludge that is weighing me down.

Rachael - Sludge is not going to help in the least. Hang in there and try to find more constructive ways to deal with your frustration. Violence against non living things always works for me <snicker>.

Penny - While Zicam is a wondrous thing, if you can't shake this, you might want to consider a Dr..

Waving to everyone else. No chopped tofu, ever. 1 hr and 20 minutes until I reach goal #1!!!..

Rachael, those kinds of cookies are death for me, too...and for you they are free (monetarily) which makes it even worse. But they are not free of trouble for you..

Chocolate chip cookies=rat poison! When I see sludge at work I think "Rat poison. Rat poison. Rat poison.".

Kitty..

Morning all, just a quick stop by. Morning is very busy and I still need to finish reading yesterday. Such a chatty group I can't keep up...

Morning all..

Rachael - sorry about the temp boss issue. I agree with De. Violence against inanimate objects is the answer..

Sludge = Pudge. Good one. I love it..

De - today is my Friday too. But that's because I have Friday's off. Lots to do today at work. Fortunately the boss will be leaving at 11:00 for a meeting in LA and not returning. Makes for a very productive day for me..

Water. I need water. And coffee. I need coffee. Not necessarily in that order...

Thanks for starting us up this AM, Rachael..

Please mentally spray all those cookies with Pennys "pledge." It will do us all good..

I am so exhausted and foggy today. I plan on eating the whole 2 cups of eggbeaters with my coffe this AM..

This will be a bed day for sure..

It was great getting out and even making dinner for DH last night. I was able to sit at the table with him, which I haven't done in months. There was a big basketball game across the street last night. Purdue v/s ? I think we won. I'll check the campus news soon..

Sorry, can't type straight. Thinnking didn't even surface this am..

Penny: increase your Vitamin C about 10xs. Increase your Vitamin D as well..

Wash your face and hands as frequently as possible and NEVER touch your eyes or your nose without a tissue. The eyes area is a great entry way for all kinds of viruses and germs..

I always clear my nasal passages in the shower. C'mon folks! You rinse out your mouths, rinse out your noses. You can even dip a Q-tip in a hydrogen peroxide solution to swab the inside of your nose. Diluted Hydrogen peroxide makes a great gargling solution as well. Also, I take Olive leaf extract in pill form. It, along with oregano oil are the anitbacterials of choice for those of us who are allergic to every single anti-biotic.

Take care eveyone. Oh, my head hurts. Darn..

Beth..

Beth - I love hearing about you getting up and about more. You're doing great. If you need to stay down to recover, then that's what you have to do...

Well. I won't say my custard was an epic fail, but definitely over cooked. Next time going to cut way back on the cooking time. Still eating it though. Haven't got any extras with me at work yet. Still tastes good, just extra chewy...

Early/late morning. I;m so confused. up at 5:30 to get 2 kids up then up at 7:30 for one more kid and then the dh called at 9am to see how my day was. I was still in bed sleeping. Work called at 9:45 am to see if I can come in early..

One cup of black coffee!.

Beth I hope your eggs are yummy. Feel better soon..

Rachael-cookies are over rated! Have an oatmeal!.

Okay I made soup for lunch. I'm good to go..

Question, is having extra vegetables off plan?..

De, mine was chewy, too. But very tasty. I'm not sure how to get it like a real custard - maybe a water bath? Nah. Too much work..

I have a nice NSV that's boggling my mind. In very early January, I bought a pair of dark brown Calvin Klein corduroys on clearance at Sam's Club. Just like a pair I had when I was at goal that my hubby got for me. Those were a 6. These are an 8, only because they didn't have any in a 6, and I really wanted them to look forward to for the spring and for our next trip to Hartford to see hubby's friend's band next month... guess what I'm wearing today? Oh, yeah!.

I've gone from wearing my old 14-16 dress pants at Christmas time to an 8 just after Valentine's Day! That's 8 sizes in 54 days! I remember losing 10 sizes in 70 days on Round One, and I'm on track to do that again! What boggles my mind is that I am still pretty far away from where I'd like to be on the scale and I'm only 2 sizes bigger in clothes. I guess it's from the hours in the gym before MF?..

Penny.

You are doing great!!!.

De.

Sorry your custard didn't turn out.

Beth.

, rest today.

Sunny.

Enjoy the half day without your boss.

Ok one last picture, (although I will likely post one after my dh is home). It is very blurry and my hips look horrible but you can sort of see my homecoming dress and boots..

Unless it is the celery allowed as a snack, yes it is off plan..

Anna - love the outfit and your hips do NOT look horrible! Might I suggest a slip though? <wink> Of course only if you are wearing it out in public.......

Help ! I had an appetite suppressant choc shake at 7:30 and another at 10:15, and I am just so hungry today!! I also had 16 oz water so far..

What do you do on days when you just are so hungy?? Stomach growling hungry, not boredom hungry. What Medifast meals do you find most satisfying?.

Thanks!.

Denise..

I make chx noodle soup but I make it with one cup of water and one cupr of low sodium chx broth...

Size 8, Penny! That's fantastic! I haven't squeezed into an eight since the ninth grade! I had a dream about it once! So awesome! Congrats!..

I don't think I even wore an 8 last time I was 120 lbs (in 9th grade) and my bones stuck out...

Anna - very cute dress and love the boots. And your hips look fine! Your husband will be drooling..

When I left this morning to go to work, my car was frozen over. Literally frozen over. My lovely husband came out and cleared the back windows for me while I cleared the front ones. Brrrrr....... Now I am safely at work with my coffee and hot cocoa..

Penny - Yay for the size 8. You are losing sizes like crazy...

Cheri.

, I'll refrain from telling you our current temperature..

Anna, Super cute dress and I love the boots! I'm wearring a similar pair of brown croc boots today. Crazy morning. My cell phone is ringing like crazy - it's good because it's business, though!.

Girly talk here - has anyone tried the new gel eyeliner that comes in a little glass pot? I think Maybelline makes it. It's smudgeproof and waterproof. I LOVE IT. I wear individual false lashes most of the time, and my morning routine, since the haircut, is about 5 minutes flat...

Can't offer any advice on the makeup Penny. I keep things to a real minimum when I actually WEAR the stuff. Reality is me jumping out of the shower, brushing my teeth and hair and walking out the door with my hair still wet...

Hi, everyone!.

Today is my birthday. I am totally prepared for this. Tomorrow night, I'm making dinner for my friends, but I have some frozen chicken and spaghetti squash prepared for the night so I don't have to think too hard about the noodles and alfredo sauce!.

In other news, I'm totally still OP. I feel great about this! As I was drifting off to sleep last night, I was thinking about how much easier it's become to be on Medifast than it was last time...

Happy Birthday Calire!.

Anna you look AMAZING! I love the boots and dress!.

Thanks all for the support! I just wanted to provide an update. It's almost 10pm. I just finished my last Medifast meal and I'm 100% Op all day. I'mm going to call my DH and the boys and then crash...I hope that you all have an awesome rest of the day!.

~Rachael..

Glad you made it Rachael!! Enjoy your phone call.

Oh and thanks.

Thanks to you all !..

The man next door just noticed my weight loss, he said "Well I noticed the other day but dind't want to offend you" of course all he said was "i notice some changes" I wasn't sure if he meant my hair or my weight, so I started with my weight..

Good morning, darlings! V-Day Observed was a lovely night. Not what I had expected, but lovely..

Turns out that Morty is "not into Hallmark holidays." This is fine, but he could have dropped a hint my direction that he wasn't getting me a present when his has been sitting out in plain view for 2 weeks! Funny thing, though, is that I didn't mind at all. No disappointed feeling - I was just so happy to have him over, and he'd bought me a lovely amazing delicious dinner at an adorable little bistro. Also, he's already bought me jewelry 3 times in the month we've been dating, so, uh, yeah. I think it's cool if prezzies are on his schedule rather than Hallmark's..

But giving him my presents for him was the FUNNEST THING EVER. He totally laughed at the 2.5 pound bleeding jelly heart with extra blood. And then he opened the shirt, and LOST HIS MIND. I've never seen anyone so excited about a gift. He examined every inch of it, checking out the embroidery, the stitching, the buttons, the reversible cuffs, etc. He texted his fellow-fashionista gay BFF about it.

It went on and on and was so incredibly precious..

I *nailed* it, ladies. Just nailed it to the wall. *happy grin*.

Oh, and I finished that massive Bluebook project yesterday before I picked him up, so I have a reasonably free conscience for the weekend. Hooray!..

Freya.

Glad you enjoyed your night and finished your project!!!..

Freya, wonderful report on your night!! So glad your gifts were so enthusiastically received!!..

Good morning ladies! Happy to report that I finished off yesterday and made it through whatever now is 100% on plan. De said it's okay for me to tell you..

DH went a little....

Overboard.

For Valentine's Day. I'm trying to justify the money spent by reminding myself that I didn't get any good presents last year when I graduated college, had a birthday, had Christmas... and that this is our first married V-Day. I was able to think of a few things to ask for (ha) when I spent $220 on a pool cue he wanted. Well, I figured he'd keep the same "limit" in mind. No.

$113 for a lilies and rose bouquet from 1-800-flowers which is much smaller than he thought it would be, and barely arrived before we left for dinner Tuesday night. And then $380ish to professionally frame the poster that he bought me LAST Valentine's day, an aerial photo of the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on it's first Opening Day..

Yes, he spent almost $500 on Valentine's Day stuff for me. When we were dating, that would have been great. Now? It's all coming out of my checking account..

I've already warned him that next yearthere will be a spending limit..

Work has been crazy latelystill staffing two units (my old unit plus the heart hospital CVICU) with one unit's worth of nurses. Going to work has gotten depressing again..

I'm about to work 4 1/2 shifts over 6 days. Wish me luck. On the plus side, I already have all of my meals planned out and logged, my chicken cooked, and my lettuce portioned out through Saturday...

Happy Birthday Calire!.

Anna you look great!.

Loved the Sludge = Pudge..

Laughed at the Pledge pic, but liked the 100% for the day (me, too, 100% OP pledge)..

Rachael, good for you for making it through the day without visiting the choc chip cookies!.

I am babysitting 3 of the grands today, baby is taking a nap while the other 2 play. It has been a good day for all 3, which means a good day for Grammie..

I hope it is a good day for all!..

Good morning fellow TLers! I hope your morning is off to a great start. I too love the sludge=pudge.

Anna.

, you look beautiful! Women are supposed to have hips so enjoy yours!.

Freya.

, so glad you nailed it.

An ex once told me the same thing, but he never bought me gifts ir flowers, so that was pretty much an excuse..

Off for another on plan day!..

Guess I need more caffeine because - HUH???.

Happy birthday Calire!..

I love brownies for lunch. I love brownies for lunch. I love brownies for lunch. I love brownies for lunch. I love brownies for lunch. I love brownies for lunch.

I love brownies for lunch...

Hello all!.

I was really super crabby this morning, but I think it's getting better..

Rachel, nice job on not eating the cookies!.

Other.

Rachel.

, you most certainly, definitely can come here every single day and tell us you are OP. In fact, I would like it if you do. Every day OP should be celebrated! Nice job!.

Anna.

, love the dress!!! You are beautiful!.

Claire.

, happy birthday!.

Freya.

, what a nice evening you had! Nice job on nailing the gifts (and Morty) lol!..

I really needed something today more for lunch. Just having one of those days. I looked at the menu in our cafeteria and it's just a bunch of sludge. boo! The salad bar is always an option, but it's so danged expensive..

So I just sucked it up and I'm now soaking some beef stew. I'm going to have my diet dp early today (before I have all my water). I will still drink my water. I just need the little reward sooner than usual...

I have a question that I'm too lazy to look up atm (at the moment). Is 2&4 exactly how it sounds? 2 full L&G meals and 4 Medifast meals..

I'm just researching and thinking constantly how I'm going to go about staying OP while on vacation in a few months. I guess I'm making a vacation "plan".

I'm not so worried about going to Chicago in May because I've been there so many times and to me it's just like Omaha food wise..

However, in June we are going to Texas, which is where I'm from. As we were planning the trip my mind kept going to all the yummy foods I was going to get to have while we were there that I no longer have access to in Omaha. It was several hours later that I even realized I was thinking that way. I can't have those foods. Ever. again..

I definitely need to have a plan in place and follow it to the letter. Plus, I'm going to be much thinner then, so it will be much easier to start having the mindset "just this once won't hurt me." I cannot go off plan. I just cannot. I will not let myself..

That is all...

Happy birthday, Claire!.

Chickie, a 4+2 is just that - 2 full L&Gs, but try to stay with the lower-carb veggies for best results...

Penny - You wouldn't happen to love brownies for lunch, would you?..

Drink drink drink the water and enjoy the growling. It means you're churning up the calories in there. Try to cultivate a LIKING for that hungry feelingat least that's what I tell myself. Sometimes it works. And if it doesn't, well, I just tell myself too bad! The world hasn't gone tilt. The next mealtime will come around again evenutually...

Hi all!.

Just checking in, it's been a crazy week. Started HORRIBLE but seems to be ending ok. I'm happy to say I've been 100% OP through it all, and will continue to be regardless. A few very ill family members, along with water heater issues, ugh. But there's finally been some improvements!.

I'll be around much more tomorrow and will hopefully have good news to share..

Dock diving in less than a month!.

Tara..

Chickie - Per Medifast suggestion, when I went on a cruise I went on 4&2 because of increased activity and to help keep a more normal eating pattern with my family. I came home from my cruise 3 lbs lighter. Your trip is likely to be different though. Every other vacation I had I stuck to 5&1. Being on a cruise ship where there is nothing BUT food everywhere you looked was interesting to say the least. I do think the reason I chose to go that way was because I know I was going to be way more active.

I could get in 5 miles a day just making a few rounds of the ship every day..

I guess you need to really think through your plan to determine if you really NEED to do 4&2, or if you just WANT to...

Thanks for that thought process De..

I am thinking about that as well. My Chicago trip will be tons and tons of walking. We will be staying down town and we try to take few to no cabs at all and just walk every where. I'm thinking the 4&2 might work well here..

My Texas trip will be a road trip so the majority of the time I will be in the car unless we are getting out to site see. This is a trip that's going to be much tougher to have a plan in place and the trip I'm the most worried about..

I am glad that I have a bodybgug for this reason though. I can track my calories burned during the Texas trip and kind of keep it in par with my eating..

Ugh! I will not freak out. I will not freak out..

My Texas trip isn't until June. You guys are going to get sick of me talking about it between now and then, but I'm going to keep picking your brains as I'm making my plan. So I guess you will just have to tough it out with me...

I did think of one good thing..

THe Chicago trip will have more opportunities to drink alchohol that I will be avoiding, but the Texas trip will not have any drinking opportunities really..

It's nice that I can at least mark that roadblock off of the TX trip...

Good afternoon all-.

Still behind with my reading so still trying to catch up..

Happy birthday Claire!.

You look fab Anna, outfit is perfect!.

Penny I use a gel eyeliner and I love it..

That's all I remember now..

Things are going well, and we are in a holding pattern with my mom until we can get a test done that we are waiting to hear from..

Staying OP, just hard getting in all my meals when I'm not hungry. But today, I *will* do it!..

De, our ship will be getting brand new gym equipment in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait to test it out! I hope it's Cybex!..

Rachael Im so glad the eggs worked out. Ive been out of them for many weeks, and I miss them a lot! And I know you avoided those cookies, so Im not even going to tell you not to eat them. Sorry about the sucktastic boss situation..

Nan you WILL get there!!!.

Sugargirl any word from the appellate court yet? *fingers crossed for you*.

Kellyann zomg did I have mood swings when I started. I was pretty sure I was going to be full of rage for the rest of my life. Hang in here, and keep yelling at the TV!.

De good luck with the paper sludge I think Ill try to emulate you and clear some formica!.

Mia yes, extra veggies are off plan. They have carbs, and can easily take you out of ketosis. Drink more water..

Penny you are some freakish kind of weight-losing superstar. Nice work..

Anna you look beautiful. Your DH will be THRILLED..

Claire you are going to NAIL this birthday OP. Yes, you are..

Rachel spending limit indeed!!! Put your checkbook on a short leash!.

Chickie naughty baggage!!!..

This made me giggle! Thanks, Freya!.

I'm out, folks! Catch y'all later!..

Very cool. Where did you get that info?.

Chickie - You think everyone's going to get sick of hearing about your June trip? Penny and I will likely be voted off the island before September! ROFL. Only 206 days, 3 hours, 32 minutes and 48,nope 47, nope, Oh well, seconds until our Ship leaves port...

This is a great group..

Sleep well, Rachael..

Anna, very nice! I am so happy for you all..

Freya, glad the blue book is finished and you can concentrate on each other..

Mind gone..

I wasn't able to stay in bed..

The weather here is blustery and almost 60 degrees. I put on shorts and a sleeveless top to get some Vitamin D. I could not sit still. I eneded up raking the debris our of the gutters along the street and cleaning off the sewers. Having lived most of my life in Michigan, a penninsula, I have a respect for water. I want to keep it flowing.

It was such FUN!.

I used to be incredibly active. I think my 25 years old Pilate's machine is calling to me from my study right now..

No. Not yet..

I actually logged exercise today. On the 17th of February I was able to log exercise. Using my body, exercising my heart: Valentine's Day..

Enjoy your evening ladies. I do still have a headache, but I'm also doing the laundry right now..

Thank You, God..

Enjoy your lives as fully as you possibly can OP..

Beth..

Beth - I love your posts. Every day that you post that you've been up doing this or that and the times get longer and longer I just smile. You are going to show that evil metabolism who's boss!!..

From the Carnival site. Also, new carpeting and upholstery in the dining rooms, flat screen TVs in the rooms, new tile in the pools, aft Lido pool being converted to a Serenity (no kids) deck.....

Freya: Congrats on finishing your report! Pardon the pun, but you really have a lot on your plate right now what with school, work, new man, staying OP, and all. It's impressive!.

Anna your new pic is adorable!.

Penny: The last time I went at my eye with a little brush covered in ink I had a LOT better eyesite than today! I'd poke my eye out today if I tried that!..

Also, at the risk of being voted off the island....

This top.

And this top.

With these bottoms.

And this suit.

That's what I bought... so far. And I'm really liking the boy shorts. They don't look like granny pants on me anymore...

Penny those are great, even when I'm think I won't be able to show my stretch mark laden tummy.

Nan, thank you..

Since starting Medifast last March I have not gone on any trips. But I have a few coming up in the summer. What do folks do about drinking all their water when you are sight-seeing? I mean, I pee every 10 minutes! How can I do that while sight-seeing? I'm even worried about being called for jury duty on April 8. Originally they called me for December 8 but I was still recovering from knee surgery and I knew I would not be able to sit still for any length of time without moving my leg around, so I asked for a postponement. How will I be able to stay on the 5&1 if they do choose me for a jury? No control over my time....that scares me..

Penny - LOVE both of the suits! Anna - I have to agree with you though. This body will never see another bikini, no matter how thin or buff I get. 2 C-sections=not pretty..

Kitty - Can't help you much there. I'm one of the fortunate ones that doesn't have that issue. I have been drinking tons of water since I was a kid. My bladder thankfully adjusted years ago..

Unless you have the possibility of heat stroke or dehydration, maybe try keeping your water intake to places there are restrooms, or maybe right before you get to one (restaurants, hotels room, etc)..

Penny - I bought the green and blue bottoms with the matching tankini top for my trip to Maui. Should be here any day.

NSV: I went shopping at Kohl's at lunch time. Bought my first size 10 jeans! (well first in about 17 years). Wahoo!!! And, if the fact that they are size 10 isn't cool enough, I also bought a pair of white pants. I cannot remember the last time I owned white pants. I was one of those fat chicks who NEVER wore white! LOL. My size 18 wardrobe was mostly black.

Okay, time for oatmeal and work...

Penny those are so CUTE!.

Kitty: That jury duty business sounds like a real problem! It sure would be for me. I hope someone else gives you better advice than me because I just don't know what I would do! Probably act hard core right or a little crazy left to get out of it! But I'm an ex-corrections officer married to a retired deputy so I've never had to face jury duty and never will. Right wing, crazy lefty that I am...

Nan - I KNEW there was a reason I like you!..

Kitty-.

Bars!! I'd take bars if you are chosen. They are pretty easy to eat on the spot..

And as far as vacations, I know I tend to be much busier, and drink even more water because of all the walking (hiking, sight-seeing etc) that I do. I bet you can do your min 64oz without even realizing it..

My work is trying to kill me. The popcorn smell is so amazing. So I'm smelling the air and guzzling water remembering I'm a few lbs away from 20 lbs lost.

Edited to add: I love that last bathing suit Penny!! So super hot..

So what kind of exercise do you guys do that a) helps you loose the most weight b) keeps you from going "off plan" or "stalling"..

I want to see the big numbers! *stamps foot* :P..

I am feeling awkward tright now because I just asked Mark a question at Behaviors, Thoughts and Feelings. I am really honest about who I am and where I see myself heading..

It takes him a few days to respond usually. I am interested in how he will approach my situation..

I love eveyone here, You all form an archipeligo or strong people to rely on for truth snd top performsnce..

I appreciate you all. Beth..

Hi everyone. Sorry, but I'm too busy to read anything but this page..

Exercise: Running, step aerobics, sculpting (light lifting) and hiking..

On plan, exercised, water and ready to try to sleep..

Work all day, theatre all night. A week and a half left of this busy schedule..

Thinking about all of you!..

My strategy? No exercise. I started walking more, shopping more, doing more housework, NATURALLY, as my body wanted it. I lost just great. (See ticker *grin*)..

Beth - I just read your post. You shouldn't even have to ask questions like that. You will move on and we will cheer for you and your improved health from afar. That is really the purpose of this journey. To reach a point where you move on with your life. I can probably speak for everyone here when I say that NOTHING could make us happier than to know that you are out living your life after so long.

Whatever you decide, you always have my support and friendship...

Also, best strategy for having big numbers is not being too eager for big numbers. Every loss is a loss, and is one step closer to goal. This plan works best when viewed as a lifestyle change, not a quick fix or something you're trying to rush. Your body has a lot of work to do, if you can let it do it in it's own time, that's kind. And effective...

*snicker*.

Me too! But I waited until MUCH closer to goal...

Oh I know any loss is a loss but the .4 lbs thing with me being ENTIRELY 100% was kind of a downer. I guess my body decided to give me a HUGE number at first and then stick it's tongue out at me for the rest of the time. Arg lol. I just wish that I would drop at LEAST 1-2 more jean sizes soon. I want to be able to get into 18's. I know I did this to myself and I'm not expecting instant gratification...but i've been having more "fat" days.

What to do, what to do...

And...you know I want that year to pandora from my boy LOL..
