Yep, but you might want to make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm it as I am on the fence. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the Medifast guys because they can give you an answer better...

This is a common concern. No I haven't lost any hair but I am only 3 months. As the preventative, I did start protein and Sublinguil biotin even before my.

Surgery.

And I am also using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner which is pricey but I'll do all three if they help me keep my hair! These are the big 3 that always come up. I've noticed many posts in he past where people who use these 3 say they haven't lost much or any hair...

Hi. I am 9 weeks out and have just now started to experience some hair loss. It's not a lot but still I can tell when I wash my hair that there is more hair loss than before. I'll have to find out from Lcat4 where she gets the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. :)..

From previous posts, the hair loss doesn't start until somewhere around 6 months out - for some people. Not all people. I'm just doing as much as I can to hopefully keep mine. I get the Nioxin at the hairstylists...

Hi I am 5 months out and have a considerable amount of hair loss. I have a few friends that have had this.

Surgery.

Also and loss hair. It usually starts at about 3 mos. and can go up to 6-9 mos. out. I take biotin 5000mcg once a day (and yes it does make hair grow in unwanted places, especially if you have PCOS) but I take it anyway and the shampoo/conditioner you can find at any beauty supply store. Good Luck...

I am five months out and have been noticing my hair loss has started but not much coming out so far. I take the biotin pills every day. Hoping to not lose much since my hair is already thin to begin with. I heard it can grow back thicker, that would be nice for me...

I am 7 months out and started losing alot of hair at around 5 months. I am still losing alot, but not as much. I know it will grow back so I am not worried. Its a small price to pay for the life I am living now! I decided to stop taking Biotin when I heard it could cause unwanted hair growth (yikes!)... so I am just playing the waiting game. Keep your protein up, it really does play a big role...

I am 19 months post op. I started loosing hair at about 3 months out. Kept it up until about 7 months. Then it started to grow back. Now I have thicker and wavier hair than ever! It was always stick straight! Now I have a wave I never had before! I started.

Washing.

With Nioxin as soon as I noticed it thinning. Cut back on frequency of.

Washing.

To every other day. QUIT all chemical processes. NO colors, highlights, perms, etc. Took biotin and zinc. Don't know if any of it helped or not,, but it made me feel like I was doing something!.

It does grow back. It is only temporary!.

Good Luck!.

Laura..
