So I just turend on cache and did not see a speed increas but my store has different content eache and every time the page is loaded how dose this effect cacheing ????..
Anyone who uses cache and understands what the feature does? would be great to hear from you...
Nobody knows hu well earlier I turend on the cache feature and well I dont see any big difference then as the day progressed I see 285 cached files I have a large store! cacheing is for kwick refrence for the store I think serching 285 is no faster than doing it the normal way I dont think so I have turnd the feature off again I know this is no help but I am trying to figure out the same thing..
I switched mine on and my category box became empty ??..
Look into your include/column_right.php and column_left.php you will.
See which infoBoxes are cached. Caching is performed for items that.
Do not change often..
You can add additional cache software if you know a large portion of your pages e.g. product pages will not change often..
You pay a price when you cache - lack of instant database updates.
And also - difficulty of using page tracking software...
I am looking into ways of speeding my iPage site up and am considering changing my cache settings to true as some threads on the forum seem to indicate this will help..
I have searched the forum but cannot get a clear idea of how the cache facility will work so I'm a little wary of turning the setting to true..
Please could someone shed some light on what turning cache to true will actualy do to my site/server.
Currently I domot cache I would also like to get an answer to this question..
