Another question on my mind: I am using HostGator web host I installed osCommerce into my site, in folder /cart/ when I go to try and login at cart/admin/ it keeps saying: Error: Invalid administrator login attempt. I have tried several times, I know I am typing in the right username and password I doubled checked it was correct, but every time I get the error, I even uninstalled and reinstalled 2 times, still I can't login, can someone help me please or point me in the right direction, go easy newbie here please..

Thank you.

Yep, but you might wanna make sure and wait for another member here to confirm it as I am not confident. Better yet, why don't you email the iPage guys because they can answer you better...

Yes, thats the path for sure............BUT, the user name and password must not be correct..

Perhaps something like this will help you reset the password...........

I found out that oscommerce or it's ad-ons do not like any other folder except /catalog/.

Just install oscommerce in the mywesite.com/catalog/ directory and it should work!.

Replace mywebsite.com with yours.

Actually if your using hostgator you should have access to cpanel.

Installation of your oscommerce should go like this.

In the field for directory "should be the second field" put catalog.

And configure every other field as you normally would!.

Hope this clears it up!.

Remember to backup your current installation and delete it!..

You can install OSC to different directories other then /catalog/..

You will need to go into the includes directory and the admin/includes directory and edit the configure.php files..

Any place you see /catalog/ you will need to replace with your directory..
