Quick question: Looking for a better registrar than 123 reg (fast)? Thanks in advance for any answer. Another question on my mind: It's that time of the year for HostGator name renewals for me. I have the "Discount HostGator Club" membership and I am using coupon code.

BTPS7.

(20% off +$50), and here is what my cart looks like:.

51 .COMs @ $6.49 -.

$341.19.

4 .NETs @ $6.69 -.

$27.56.

3 .ORGs @ $6.69 -.

$20.67.

2 .USs @ $6.69 -.

$13.38.

29 Privacy Registration @ $8.99 -.

$260.71.

*OUCH*.

20% Off Coupon (BTPS7) -.

-$52.14.

TOTAL:.

$611.37.

Can I do any better?.

Thanks in advance for any/all feedback...

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at 123 reg as they probably could answer your 123 reg question..

How do you create a fake name???.

I have a business name (LLC) I can use but I thought you had to pay for the.

Business Listing Service.

To list it as a business name... Can I simply list my business name without my personal name on my domains?..

Call 123 reg , tell them you'll transfer names if they don't give you $1 who is privacy...

I think that's just a business promotional service. I don't think it has anything at all to do with the registrant listings in whois..

You could change registrant to "Your-LLC-Name", your contact name to something generic like "IT manager" or "President", and use redirected phone and emails...

To date I haven't been too concerned with privacy, but I'm seriously considering the route I mentioned. It helps to make it look a bit more professional as well if you use a business name. Plus why pay someone to provide a service you can easily do yourself?..

Those rates are fine but as others have said - get rid of the privacy. Moniker offers cheaper rates for .net but for 4 domains - why bother..

Does the 20% off coupon really work when you have the Discount HostGator Club membership?..

Why do you care about the privacy stuff? Don't you want people to contact you to buy your domains? o.O..

I also have the club membership, I would be interested in knowing if.

Any coupon would work. How does $52.14 come out? which part of.

The 20% does it apply?..

Just be careful using a free email account for your whois contact info as I have been reading lately that some people have had their domains stolen from hackers craking Yahoo account passwords etc..

I can also point you to $5 transfers to a reputable company if you want to pm me...

I did that, the best they would offer is $4.99.

So that brought my total down to:.

$547.51.

Yup but it only applys to the Privacy Registrations not the domains themselves..

Because I am not selling these domains, I use these domains as re-directs to my business site, which I'd rather not display WHOIS info for..

Thanks for the input..
