Good Morning Mer! I was just about to start a thread. Good thing I saw you already did one!..

Good morning ladies!.

Had a decent weekend, still have no voice. Skating on Saturday went better than expected, I was a 100% improved since August according to one of the derby girls. However I need to improve at least 1000% to be ready for derby. I need to be able to jump, weave, balance on one skate, skate 25 laps in 5 minutes, and a ton of other skills. I still don't know how to stop without a wall to run into..

I may not be ready for tryouts in February, but it is something I want to do. They have tryouts again in the Fall. They don't cut- if you can pass the skills test you are in, but I doubt I could pass it without spending every waking hour in the rink. I just don't have that kind of time in the next 2 weeks..

Saw Black Swan yesterday, I liked it. A total mind trip but it was good...

Good day! Hey Mer and Tiffany!.

Ivan is 4 today!!.

And I'm sorta a wreck. Must be hormones or something, but I'm getting all weepy over his birthday. Never happened to me before. It's kinda annoying. I guess just looking at how far all of us have come from that scary emergency c-section on a cold dreary day in January 4 yrs ago is amazing..

So what did you guys do this weekend? Anything interesting?.

I had a little celebration play-datey type of thing at Chuck E Cheese for Ivan on Saturday. O.M.F.G. Nightmare. I had throbbing headache by the time we left, and we were only there for maybe 2 hours!! So packed and there were lines for every game. But it was fun for the kiddos so it was okay. Never again though..

Then yesterday I went out with C geocaching. We found 10! It was so much freaking fun, I must have bored Mark to death blabbing on and on about it. I fell in the 2 1/2 feet of snow a few times, C fell, I got a scrape on my shin from a stupid guardrail...ahhh, good times!!! We even had to duck under this evergreen shrub thingy in the parking lot of a diner. We had to be cool, though, checking to make sure no one was looking.

Then we pretended to be a talking bush from inside. Nobody heard us, but it was silly and we were cracking up!..

Morning.

Dawn.

,.

Tiff.

, and.

Mer.

....

Mer: Sorry about the voice still be "out of the office"....Glad you liked Black Swan, I want to see it, but will probably wait until it comes out on video..

Dawn: Anyone who is willing to go to ChuckeCheeze or any other similar child themed nightmare is a saint. I took my niece to a b-day party at one of the indoor Jumpy places....it was.

CRAZY.

!!!!.

BTW....My first weigh-in was today.......

********drumroll********.

8.9lbs!!!! Yay for me!!!..

Mer.

- Congrats on improving on skates! You'll be suprised how quickly you pick it up!.

Dawn.

- My mom hated Chucky-Cheese and the like. Horrible everytime on the parents!.

Marlanea.

- Wooozas! on the 8.9 lbs!! Way to go!.

My weekend was busy. I had tutoring, a massage, Baxter's Gooming and Game Night on Saturday. Sunday I got up and got to church just to find out they were having a special service this week so I came at the end. Back to regularly scheduled services next week. LOL...

Morning Loverlies!!.

Dawn.

Happy B'day to your baby!!! It's totally understandable to get mushy and emotional!.

Omg on Chuck - E's this weekend. I saw your FB post and felt your pain. Not missing that place at all but the kids do love it at that age. Done my time there and then some!!.

Geo'ing sounded like a lot of fun too! talking bush. heehee!.

Marlanea.

Congrats on an awesome first week!! Woo hoo!!.

Mer.

...you can't devote every waking moment to RD for the next two weeks? lol! I'd set my sights on the fall "try outs" and just get your skillz together. It sounds like quite a work out. Sorry about your voice. I saw Black Swan this weekend too. Loved it!.

Hey.

Tiffany.

! A massage sounds nice!.

We had an ok weekend. Sat. Iz got invited to sleep at a friend's kind of last minute so we went to the movies, we said we'd see what ever was playing closest to the time we got there and it was Black Swan. Quite the psychological thriller!.

Yesterday Iz had her playoff game (they lost) then piano and Ri had her first competition..

I have a dreadfully busy week coming up.......

Time to go work out. BBL!..

Happy birthday to Ivan!.

Dawn- sorry the Chuckie Cheese party didn't go well..

Sounds like geocaching was a blast!.

CONGRATULATIONS MARLANEA!.

Hey Heather!.

I am planning on going to an adults-only open skate on Wednesday, but it's about 20 minutes away and the weather is supposed to be BAD. As in Level 3 which means you could be arrested if you are on the roads and are not an emergency worker. I <3 Level 3 because it means no work!.

I was pretty confused by Black Swan..

Whited out for those who haven't seen it, might be a spoiler!!.

I had no idea what was real and what was in her mind. Like the Mila Kunis overnight thing or the fight scene. I wish that they had a recap at the end of what actually happened and what she THOUGHT happened...

Oh, and another thing with tryouts is I would need my own skates. I'm trying to get a used pair from one of the derby girls who just got new skates but I didn't have first dibs. I just spent $140 on my helmet and pads, which is a GREAT deal btw because it is quality stuff, but Jason sees it as a "sunk cost". I think he's afraid I'll get bored with practicing and quit. I see where he is coming from, and I can't honestly say it won't happen. But right now, I really want to learn how to skate! New skates would be about $200, so I REALLY would like to pick up a pair of used.

I could always sell the helmet, pads, and skates to a derby girl, a hockey player, or Play It Again Sports if I didn't need them, but I know I won't get anywhere near what I paid...

Morning, glories!.

Mer.

, 100% improved awesome! i'm glad you had fun. $200 for skates! yowza. thank goodness for ebay and craigslist! sorry you're voice is still MIA....

Marlanea.

, woo hoooo on your loss! that's fantastic. and hey, I know kemah! I have family in webster/league city..

Tiffany.

, bummer about the church thing! I hope you make it next weekend. how was the massage? I scheduled one for my birthday (couple weeks away), and I can't wait!.

Dawn.

, happy birthday to little i-man!!!!!!!!!! the big 4. I can't believe it. I think it's sweet that you're all weepy over it. I love hearing about your adventures with c. is she your friend that might be moving away?.

Heather.

, what's on tap for your dreadfully busy week coming up? I had a weird experience during black swan. I get really bad motion sickness during movies that are shot in that way, and I missed about 15 minutes of the movie because I was getting sick in the bathroom. awful! but the parts I saw.... I loved it. like mer said, total mind trip! what'd you think?.

I weighed this morning (even though i'm a friday weigher...bad tay), and I GAINED two pounds. hoping it's water weight since TOM should be coming on wednesday. here are my two food goals for the week NO peanut butter and NO diet dr. pepper. ever since I found out that PB was added to the list of snacks, i've had it almost every single day. when I ran out last week, I bought TWO jars...

Must. stop. at least til friday. and the soda! I didn't drink soda for years and years and years, and then when I started MF, I got back on the diet DP wagon. i've had at least one a day for almost the entire month.

Wish me luck!..

Good Morning everyone.

Im home and catching up what I missed on Friday.

Happy Birthday to Ivan..

My weekend was pretty great. friday night, ry and I went to our friends' karen and lee ann's for dinner. it was delicious, and the conversation is always good with them. I didn't want to leave! then saturday I had rehearsal with the sketch group and an improv show that night. I did finger waves for the first time! it was fun. my character's name was delilah, and she was a performer from the 20s..

Yesterday I went to a birthday brunch (not a single thing was OP, so I just sipped my coffee), to improv class, then I auditioned for a music video!!! a friend told me about it. it's her boyfriend's band, and he's playing "the guy" and they were auditioning for "the girl." i'll keep you gals posted. never auditioned for anything like that before! pretty fun...

My attempt at finger waves! it was fun. I can't believe some women did this every day... thank goodness for a culture that embraces wash-and-go!..

Hi Taylor and Amy!.

Taylor- I love PB too, TOO much.....

Your hair looks cute!.

Hurray for staying OP despite tempting foods!..

Thanks for the birthday wishes, ladies! I'll pass them on..

Good morning Amy!.

MerI know what you mean about buying stuff for a new hobby that you may or may not take to. I hope that it all works out, whether you get cool skates and become the world's greatest derby girl, or you don't and you get what you paid for the equipment!!! Oh, and Chuck E Cheese was fun for the little ones (Ivan and his friends)...they don't care, but everyone else was shell-shocked, lol!!.

TayYep, C is the one who's hubby is doing training in the Army, and she's going to be leaving in April it looks like. I'm so sad, I have so much fun with her. LOVE the finger waves!! How did you do it? Did you see tutorial somewhere?.

Heather-What sport does Iz play? You are always busy busy busy..

We are supposed to get a storm coming through Tuesday and Wednesday. Well, my colonoscopy is scheduled for Wednesday at 11am. I'm scared that I'm going to do the prep (yuck) tomorrow, then it's gonna storm and they'll cancel on me. I really really don't wanna have to clean out my guts twice!!!..

I had a super crazy busy weekend and didnt want to get out of bed this morning, We got to my MIL's about 10pm on Thurs. and were busy packing and moving all weekend, we only stopped to have dinner. The really crappy part is my MIL had no fridge and no stove, so we couldnt cook anything and we didnt take an ice chest.

So I was off plan for a couple of days but I am back on track now. My MIL has soooooo much junk it was crazy.

Yesterday we had brunch with my Brother and his kids then we went to the wedding reception, it was really low key and we just sat around and visited with family members..

Morning!.

Mer, I loved Black swan.

Only Mer read the white (unless you wanna ruin the movie for yourselves).

Im pretty sure, she was going crazy, she was trying so hard to be perfect it made her go insane, also her mom has a big part in it, she wanted to be perfect so badly esp her mom wanted her to too, so the mila kunis night actually didnt happen, it was a fantasy, also the fight and the feathers growing, she went crazy!..

Morning,.

Melly.

!.

Dawn.

, I found a youtube video! it was actually an australian girl. she said she'd looked all over for videos, and none were good quality, so she made her own. I didn't have clips or anything, so I just combed all my hair forward, pressed my finger down on a section, combed it back, then just kept repeating. my hand actually hurt after! oh, the things women do for beauty... ha!.

Amy.

, sorry the moving was such a pain! I saw your FB post about dallas and was like, whaaaaaaaa? amy's in texas?! then I figured there must be a dallas, OR...

This week is so busy! Tonight I have class for 3 hours. Then tomorrow I have to drive to Portland for the Blazer game. Then wednesday I might go stay the night at the beach (its one of the last family trips we took with my dad) since Thursday is his 3rd year anniversary.

Then work on Friday, pick Alex up from school, hw, and then breathe!.

BTW, Melissa is back on mf.

I had to fight alex so I could eat my pancake. He wanted it.

Oh and Wednesday Im going to look at a manufactured home that my ex neighbors want me to take over the payments for.

I would be moving back to my hometown, without jose which will be weird but until we fix things Im doing it on my own.

Oh and I did my own taxes on Friday night.

Im a happy girl!..

Happy Monday!.

Another week....

Saturday night hubby and I decided to go out to the movies. We hadn't been to the movies for a while an I was feeling edgy. So we went out to dinner. I had my normal chicken fajitas, and the chips stayed on the other side of the table. I had to smell them a couple of times and closed my eyes. Hubby informed me that I am strange.

Friday night I started working on our taxes. UGH..boo hiss..

Saturday:.

I did some work with gathering requirements for some non-profit development weekend that is in April. They had donuts there and the donuts were taunting me. I looked at them and walked away..

The movie theater was SO cold. I stayed in my coat zipped up and brought my face down into it. I dislike being cold... So my internal dialog was working over time on resisting the treats at the movie theater. I was PMSing so the chocolate was just screaming to me non-stop. My inner medifaster voice told me that it isn't just one slip because it will take me at least 3 days to get back into ketosis.

It wasn't worth it. So I sat in my chair and watched the movie. I came home and drank a dark chocolate shake with a little whipped cream. It put me back into happy place, that and my fuzzy blanket since I was freezing still..

Yesterday:.

I read the paper and clipped out coupons. I need to find a better way to organize them. It is time consuming to look through the piles so I will work on that this week. I found some good ones for stuff we use frequently. Kmart is doubling up to 2.00 this week so I might get some stuff from there with coupons. CVS I also have a huge stack to use and will get Extra Bucks.

TG..it was tormenting me with PMS. I lost two lbs at my WI on Saturday. I swap between Saturday & Sunday for WI's. It depends on what is going on those two days..

I lost another two lbs which is great for pre-TOM...

Amy-I used to live in Dallas OR! I think it was in 2nd and 3rd grade!.

I have volleyball tonight. I'm a little nervous. I haven't played since grade school, maybe HS..

Go Melly!! You are doing awesome on your own. I'm proud! I think your trip to the beach sounds super sweet. Nice way to remember your dad. I hope that house works out if it's what you want...

Taylor.

LOVE the hair and your eyes (and expertly applied make up) are gorgeous too! Peanut butter is my downfall too..

My dreadfully busy week ..I'm just dreading it. Today is my only non-busy-ish day and I need to get out and do a few things..

Tomorrow getting our taxes done then work in the libes. I drive to art and back and then quick dinner and off to Ri's induction for NHS at school that night..

Wed. Ri practice/Iz has Irish dance (depending on the weather..we are expecting at least a lot of ice). Then Iz has a school board meeting..where the naming committee gives their suggestions to the board. We are invited..

Thur: hubs leaves for his guys/cousins weekend to Vegas and I have to drive Ri to school then get iz to the orthodontist by 8am and then to school. I have to shop and make a dessert and snack for Friday's activities. Pick Iz up from district band at another school..

Fri: drive Ri to school. I'm snack/bowling mom that afternoon and car pool mom for bowling. Ri has a cheer pasta party and bringing the dessert. (at her coach's house)..

Sat.EARLY morning cheer comp. I'm working registration and poor Iz has to come w/ me. We'll stay to see Ri's team and then Iz has soccer games at 5 and 5:30.

Sun: my niece's b'day party at 2pm then a super bowl party that night if my hubby is home in time. Phew!!.

Then the the following week get ready for Ri's b'day party and Valentine's day. I was up at 5am stressing about it today..

Dawn.

, Iz plays indoor soccer. They had a tough 1st session, only tied two games and lost the rest(no wins)..

:vent:This league gets on my nerves sometimes because they allow entire travel teams to come in as the same team and then they play against random teams (like the one Iz is always on) and crush them. (although they have improved to only lose by a point or two now) The parents are annoying too and don't show the best sportsmanship. Blah!!! She's got the second session starting on Saturday. She's going to miss quite a few games though which is a drag because it's expensive. She has two on the night of Ri's party and two the weekend we are away for Ri's nationals. They always play two games at a time.(1/2 hour each).

Mer.

I think Melly was right w/ the mind game stuff in BS. I was confused too but I think that's what the filmmakers wanted..

Taylor.

I was getting a headache from the way it was shot. Luckily I didn't get motion sick (as I do easily)..

Melly.

That is super sweet about going to the beach to remember your dad. It would also be awesome if you got the house and love it!.

Amy.

Sounds like a super busy weekend!..

Yup yup I was talking about Dallas OR, My MIL lives out in the country between Monmouth and Dallas about 5-6 miles from each and she is moving downtown Monmouth into a duplex with my SIL thats 21.

Im just worn out, my MIL also had no furniture so we couldnt just sit and relax, We ate dinner out each night but man that gets old. We did stop and hang out at my Brothers little apt in Salem for a few hours so I got to relax on his couch LOL.

So Melly's your not doing Heidi's new program?..

Dawn- if I became the world's greatest derby girl I would be ECSTATIC! I'd settle for being a starter on Toledo's team though..

Let me know how vball goes!.

Hi Melly!.

Totally agree on your Black Swan post..

LOL on your pancake fight..

Hi Katie!.

Heather- BOO taxes. I still don't have my 1099 from TSFL, so I can't do mine yet..

Wow, you are busy busy busy!.

Amy- your MIL has no stove, fridge or furniture? WOW..

Hey Ashlee!.

QODs on the way!..

Melly, Ive been wanting to go there but we went to Salem both Fri & Sat night to meet up with my Hubby's siblings they live in Salem.

My MIL is moving about 4 blocks behind little Caesars, it's on Ecols.

Yeah Merz- Her Bro & a bunch of other people helped her move on Tues & Wed, and they moved all the big stuff first, so beds, furniture, piano, and appliances all over to the new place, well they arent allowed to live in the new place until the 1st but the people let them move stuff into the garage..

MONDAY QUESTIONS OF THE DAY!.

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

Bonus- L&G?..

Are they townhouses? My mom works at bimart which is SO close to there. My old friend used to live on Ecols..

MONDAY QUESTIONS OF THE DAY!.

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

It would be a tie for cooking and singing.

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

Doing hw and hitting the gym, I know I know, Im wild!.

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

Heck no, people cant shut me up so I couldnt myself! ha! I couldnt, I have too much to say.

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

Nope..

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

Amy- OIC, that makes a lot more sense. I was confused by that, but now I remember you saying she was moving last week..

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

Being a famous derby girl sounds pretty frickin' sweet right now. I'm already past my prime to be a competitive athlete in volleyball or track, but most of the derby girls in Toledo are late 20s early 30s..

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

We are actually supposed to get a ton of snow Tues night. If I had a snow day, I'd enjoy the day with Jason and Roomie watching movie and TVs! I might even build a snowman..

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

I am really trying to do this today. Do you know how hard it is to not talk at work?.

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

I like to wear red on Vday and green on St. Pattys but that's really about it. I might wear some St. Patty's beads or a hat, but I'd never wear a whole costume..

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

Matinees are $7.25 and regular is $9.75.

Bonus- L&G?.

Undecided...

Mel it's a 2 story duplex, it's right behind a huge retirement building..

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

I would want that to either be dancing or sining. I LOVE music but really cannot sing..

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

I would totally play in the snow. Never have so yeah I would prob be outside freezing and trying all the snow fun.

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

I had to do it before. With email and such it is possible. It would be really hard at work but I could communicate through emails. I dont talk on the phone too much at work..

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

For St Pattys I wear green but that is about it. I would not really wear a costume unless there was a theme party or something going on..

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

$10.50!! And thats normal theater. The winter park is a $1.50 more..

Bonus- L&G?.

Chicken Breasts and green beans..

Hello Lovelies! I'm back OP AND motivated (so there is hope!).

Mer~ The roller derby sounds like sooooo much fun, I always wanted to do that. I'm a bit to old though, and my feet are shot, looks like I'm going to half to have surgery blah!.

Dawn~ Happy B-day to Ivan! I think it's perfectly normal to get weepy. I remember just bawling when Lexi's shoes resembled real shoes and not those cute little toddler mini things:-).

Taylor~ I love the finger waves! Wow, that must have been a ton of work, but what fun!.

Heather~ Geeze you are so busy, I have no idea how you do it all. Of course I am finding that the busier I am, the more motivated I am to get stuff done, and take on more stuff:-).

MONDAY QUESTIONS OF THE DAY!.

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

I always wanted to be a fashion designer. I kinda am now, in my own little way, so that makes me happy. My other love was always acting. I hope to get back to it when the kids are old enough to spare me a bit more:-).

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

Dang. I work from home. Let's pretend like you mean "sunday" since I get too many snowdays here. I would float on a river, I love to float!.

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

Only if the kids weren't home. I can't even go a whole day without yelling (I really try!), so I can imagine not talking would be TUFF.

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

Maybe, I like to dress up, but it would have to be a group thing, I don't wanna do it alone..

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

6-10.

Bonus- L&G?.

It's been seafood for the past few days, so I am going to switch back to my very unoriginal chicken and asparagus. I need to start trying some better chicken recipies and give Foreman a rest!..

Tiffany- WOW, movies are $$$ near you!.

Hi Heatherbee!.

So I knew there was an adult only skate on Weds that a lot of the derby girls went to and called to find out there hours. The adult skate is from 9pm-midnight, $6, plus rentals. Holy smokes, I'm in bed by 9:30-10! AND it's 20-25 minutes away......

Me being derby ready this month is quickly becoming impossible as opposed to difficult...

Good Morning Gals! I am soooooooo sick and so is Cooper.

Yucky sore throats/cough..no good! Tanman took 1st place at the wrestling championship tournament this weekend for his weight class! Hubs entered 18 kids, 14 placed! We had 3 first placers, 3 2nd placers a fourth and quite a few 5th and 6th.. it's great because it's only our programs 2nd year and we are a small school and went up against all the biggies this weekend! Tans now 10-0 for his matches all pins.

Marlanea.

- awesome weight loss, you too.

Tiffany and Katie!!.

Glad it went well skating.

Mer...

Sounds like a blast!.

Taylor.

- love the hair!.

Heather.

Hi, you are one busy woman.....

Dawn.

Happy bday to baby!.

Mel...

That would be cool to get the place, I'll keep fingers crossed for you!..

MONDAY QUESTIONS OF THE DAY!.

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

A Fab actress.

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

Watching old movies cuddled by the fire!.

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

Yes.

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

Sure, why not!.

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

$10.50 I think.

Bonus- L&G?.

???..

*from backreading*.

Mer.

- Awesome about the improvement in skating but maybe waiting til the Fall try outs would be best because sounds like you need to learn a lot of cool moves first. Does Play It Again Sports SELL used skates?.

Dawn.

- Happy Birthday Ivan!!!!.

Marlanea.

- CONGRATS on a great -8.9 loss!!!!.

Tay.

- I use my love of Diet DP as a reward, of sorts. I will NOT consume a diet soda unless I have already consumed all 64 ozs of water for the day. Its not that they do anything bad but the sodium in them can make you bloat a bit, so I think your 2 lb gain would make sense from drinking them every single day for a month plus PB as your snack. Love the finger waves!.

Amy.

- Is your BIL a religion where you couldn't attend the ceremony, only the reception? Sorry your weekend was so tiring and offplan (not by choice)..

Melly.

- Congrats on being back Medifast & looking at that house! Sounds exciting..

*still backreading but dont wanna lose my comments*..

I gotta head out, I'll catch up later.

Hi Charla- Sorry your guys are so sick.

Ash- they got married on the 2nd, small ceremony at her Grandparents my Husband was not able to get the time off due to busy retail time, so we went to the reception. There is also alot of drama going on with them and my MIL, I'll give more detail later..

Hey ladies!.

I'm jumping on to give y'all an update of sorts and just to hang out with you..

MONDAY QUESTIONS OF THE DAY!.

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

Im not sure. It would be great to be an expert at something. I have a lot of things that Im pretty good at but I dont really excel strongly at any one thing. I guess I would like to be really good with computers/programming. Maybe I could be a computer teacher at a school or something..

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

Laying on the couch rotated with helping get the baby room ready. Ive been having trouble breathing because this kid is all up on my ribs..

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

I could probably be a problem at work since I answer phones but if I was sick then I could get away with it. I actually would enjoy it..

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

No but Im all for dressing for the day (such as wearing red on valentines day, green on st. pattys, beads on Mardi Gras)..

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

Too much but Ill pay for it anyways. I love going to the movies. I think it's $10.75? Thats for a normal, non 3D, non Imax..

Bonus- L&G?.

Dont know we are eating out because we need to get groceries...

Omg Jen!!! You are almost to the finish line! I can't freaking believe it! Squee! Boy or girl, or do you not know?.

I'm home with Ivan. *sigh* the nurse called and he was gagging and coughing. He's had a surgery called a Nissen fundoplication, and he can't throw up. He just looks all pathetic and makes these horrible retching sounds....the fundoplication is when they wrap the top of the stomach around the bottom of the esophagus (or vice versa, I don't recall), and that is for GERD and reflux..

Jackson threw up Friday night and had the runs Saturday morning and a fever. I was soooo hoping Ivan wouldn't get it..

I'm calling the ped today to ask about our options with the fundoplication. This is bad. They said he would outgrow it, like they pop the stitch and it's not a big deal. But if he gets food poisoning or something, or if he's a teen and he drinks too much, it could be dangerous! I'm hoping maybe it's just an endoscopic or laparoscopic type of thing and not a full blown surgery...

Merz - sounds like the skating thing rocks! I'm rooting for you!.

Dawn - happy labor day! Love the pink hair!..

Dawn - that's some scary stuff! I've never heard of that. Yeah - I hope there is some way to overcome that because there are some times when getting sick is good for you. Yikes..

It's a boy - and at my checkup on Friday he was 6 lbs 7 oz. And breech. So when I go in this Friday I'm gonna see about getting an external version (they flip the baby manually from the outside using ultrasound to make sure everything is going well). I'm kinda scared to think about c-section - don't know why...

MONDAY QUESTIONS OF THE DAY!.

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

Acting..

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

Probably rotting my brain with Oblivion and a book on quantum mechanics I just picked up, even though I should study and do homework.

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

Probably not..

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

H e l l to the no..

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

Pssshhht...you guys have cheap movies! We're talking 11.25, not including 3D or Imax..

Bonus- L&G?.

I have a huge roast in the crock pot (slow cooker??). I put some carrots, onions, garlic, and beef broth and some secret herbs and spices....smells goooood!..

Hi Charla!.

YAY for Tanner!.

WOW, $9.75 for movies doesn't sounds as bad now. At the Black Swan yesterday there were only three people in the theater- Roomie and me and some guy..

Ashlee- One could perhaps find used skates at Play It Again but it's hit or miss because someone would have had to sell them in my size for me to find them. Derby skates are pretty specialized, they MUST be quad wheels (no inlines), and meet certain specifications. Also, because I'm not a lightweight, my skates have to be stronger than the cheaper ones out there, the part that holds the wheels (the chassy, but I'm spelling it wrong I'm sure) has to be metal instead of plastic. My best bet for cheaper skates is to buy used ones off a derby girl..

HI JEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

So exciting!.

Dawn- aww, poor Ivan- sick on his bday!..

HeatherbeeeeeeeeI talked to Mark about it this morning. I'm seriously not the weepy type. He told me he gets it cuz (and don't any of you girls ever tell him I told you if you ever meet him!!!) he gets weepy sometimes when Ivan is just laying on him and he looks at him and gets teary. So at least I'm not alone, LOL! I remember being sad about the shoes too. And the sockies! Jackson's 8 yr old socks are boring, but Ivan's little socks are still cute, little stripes and grippers on the bottom......

Oh gosh.

Dawn.

.. thats terrible! I hope he gets better fast. I have never heard of that condition.. poor little guy!.

Hi.

Jen...

Congrats, is this your first? Medifast did it to me too! I was near goal when WHAMMO preggers! I have a 14 year old and a 15 month old! Any names yet?..

I need socks. I have plenty of athletic socks, but they are all short and fall down when I wear boots. I like to wear taller fun socks with my boots. I only have a few pairs I can wear, I need at least 7 that are holeless! So I'm stopping at Walmart on my way home, I need a couple other things too...

Charla - Thanks. This is my second. I was having trouble TTC and got preggers at my lowest weight - being strict on MF. So, it happens. Congrats on your loss so far!.

No final decision on names. My hubbie is hard to read sometimes. I think he wants a junior - but not my favorite choice - not that his name is bad - Matthew - but I don't like the whole junior idea in general. Our other favorite is Christian...

Merz - I love socks. Get some fun ones!.

Dawn - I know what you mean about baby socks. They are so cute! Little shoes too!..

Thanks Jen, I a m not a big Jr fan myself.. I love my Hubs first name is Trask.. but I didnt want a Jr so we have a Cooper and a Tanner... I raelly like the name Christian!.

How old is oyur other child?..

Julia is 8. We got her a shirt that says, "Only Child" crossed off and "Big Sister" under neath...

I like all your names... awesome. Trask is a good name...

P B as a snack? do tell me more!..

Medifast created a new snack list. Bad idea in my opinion, I think that they are giving us too many options. We chose Medifast because we are bad at having options and need a more restrictive plan..

From Quick Start Guide-.

Trask is a great name. I've never heard it before..

Ivan not being able to throw up is not a condition, it's directly from a surgery to fix reflux/GERD. He was diagnosed with "failure to thrive" b/d he couldn't keep anything down when he was born. They wrap it up like that so the stomach acid can't come up. It's good for what it does, but he doesn't need it anymore..

The primary ped is busy today so I'm only getting to speak to everyone else pass along info...grrr. They said to only give him pedialyte, which he won't drink, until the gagging stops. Okay, so just liquids. But I wanted to discuss our options moving forward. He's supposed to call later...

I agree Jen, too many options can lead to cheating... but OH HOW I LOVE PB!.

I never really made many recipes on Medifast last time, I lost 60 lbs in about 6 months.. I rarely used a condiment and avoided the snack...

Wow Dawn, that would be upsetting not getting a hold of anyone, what about gatorade?.

Thanks, I love his name too.. unfortunately he got a nickname of Bucky as a little baby and it stuck.. he never went by Trask... in business hes Trask but friends all know him as Bucky.

I tell him it's Dr Jekel Mr Hyde.. Trask is the nice guy.. Buckys the a h ole..

Oops I mean Mer!! Thanks I thought Jen posted that....

Julia is very excited..

Merz - I agree about the limiting. However, I love nuts and peanut butter, so I think that it is great that these options are available - and both are very low in carbs. I'm just not sure how I would use the PB.... I bet many stick the spoon in the jar and go for it - which I think is an unhealthy habit to get into...

I just smeared a little like a tsp on my pancake...mmmm!..

Hey Girlies ...I'm back! Ran around to Wallyworld, the thrift store, got gas, unloaded everything and then picked up Ri. Her ceremony tomorrow night is rescheduled due to the impending bad weather (I'm in denial) so that alleviates a little and our accountant is coming tonight for the same reason. I did just peek at the weather and it's 2-6 inches of snow, 1/4- 1/2 inch of ICE and there's a winter storm warning from tonight into Wed. afternoon. Oh I can't take it!!!!!.

Charla.

..Congrats to Tanner!!! I love that last picture. It's a framer. Sorry you're sick. That rots!!!.

Hey.

Jen.

!! I was just thinking about you! Thanks for popping in. Can't wait to "meet" your baby boy! Love that shirt for Julia too..

I get weepy over kids' clothing too. I've saved some special things. They grow out of them so fast. I was so sad when Iz stopped wearing Gymboree. I loved that store!.

Dawn.

...poor Ivan. That condition is really scary. I hope it's an easy fix. Poor lil' dude. He is your little miracle man and super special!!!.

Mer.

..about the RD equip...didn't you guys buy J his hockey stuff?? I think you should go for it..

Our movies are $11 for a regular old movie!..

My docs wouldnt let me while preggers..I just started 3.5 weeks ago and I am losing my milk.

I tried pumping last night and only got less than an oz.. this is upsetting me, I didnt want to fully wean Coop till like May ish....

`Hi Heather!!!!! Thanks! Yeah it's the pits...

I love Gymboree too!! I even have some old gymboree of Tans that Coop wears! I am off to give him a nap.. catch ya later chickies!..

That's another hard thing to part with! Are you getting enough protein and drinking all your water??..

I know the cutest stuff! Same w/ us. I kept all the Gymbo stuff from Ri for Iz. Go take a nap w/ Cooper!!..

Heather- good point about J's hockey stuff, and if I knew how to skate I would totally agree with you and use that argument. I see where he's coming from, neither one of us want me to spend hundreds of dollars on equipment I won't use. At this point, I don't know if I'll be able to pass the skills test even in the fall..

Charla- I like PB in my oatmeal and on my pancake too!.

I'm signing off now, hope you have a great night!..

*FROM BACKREADING STILL*.

MONDAY QUESTIONS OF THE DAY!.

1. I know we are all fabulous, but if you could be so awesome at something you were famous, what would it be (cooking, roller derby, acting, author, being a super mom, singing, athletics, etc.)?.

Radio DJ/Personality.

2. If you got a snow day (even if it would be impossible because you lived in FL) how would you spend your day?.

Rehanging my closet rods that my 20+ lb cat knocked down nearly a year ago & I have been without a closet to hang or organize clothes since.

3. Could you go a whole day without talking? What if you HAD to to make your voice get better?.

N E V E R. I'd try, but I think it would be a whole lot of scribbling on notepads, etc & very poorly done sign language..

4. I have seen costumes for Valentine's Day, the Superbowl, St. Pattys, and Mardi Gras (all on buycostumes.com)- would you ever wear a costume for a non-Halloween holiday?.

That's a no unless it was an event where errybody was dressing up too..

5. How much does a movie theater cost where you live?.

$10.50 most shows, as I haven't attended a matinee in a LONG time.

Bonus- L&G?.

Idk, ugh!.

*just now finishing my attempt to fill this out for the last 3+ hours*..

I got sucked into a huge project at work. As you can tell this keeps happening more and more. Which is actually good in the fact I like what I do and I like the projects. But it means very much less pin-up time. I am off to back read..

Oh...I'm only .9 lbs away from getting a facial!! I've always wanted one!..

I'm not - although I did attempt it when I was pregnant and didn't know yet... it was really hard to stick with.... then I found out why!.

I've gained a lot - it's scary. I want to come back so I can lose the weight quickly. I find that the longer you keep the weight on, the harder it is to lose.... and I just lost all this! So I want to come back soon after..

I also will be breastfeeding.... I figure I'll have to wait until I'm done with that, and what you are writing confirms that - oh well, I'll see what I can do on my own (non-mf) while nursing. I've had luck with South Beach in the past. I might try that... or WW...

Hey Charla, good to see you on here:-).

Merz~ I understand about not wanting to spend so much. Can you rent while you work on your skills? Don't get discouraged and just give it up, it really sounds like you are loving it, and we all should do more things we love...

*from backreading - edit*.

Charla.

- Sorry you and Cooper are so sick! YAY for Tanner being 10-0. I also like your DH's name. Very cool..

Heatherbee.

- Welcome back on plan.

JEN!!.

- *CLOMPS GENTLY* Yay for it being a boy! Oh no for Breech! I hope they get the external thing done. And I love the name Christian too!.

Dawn.

- Poor Ivan! I hope they can do something very easy to help him.

Merz.

- Hopefully you can get a used pair soon, and I bet you will be ready by fall and if not you will definately be ready for the next Feb try-outs!..

I am a little low on my water.. I need to up it and the proteins prob okay.. I think also with him being sick it's so hard to nurse/breathe.. he hasn't nursed much all week.

I tried to nap with him, but my snot kept dripping.

And I really needed to sniff or blow so I had to get up..ugg...

It also prob doesnt help that you are sick too!..

Charla - that sucks. That's the worst! I hate it when my nose gets all runny when I'm trying to sleep. Ugh. And poor baby..

Mer-Doesn't it seem so unfair that you have to spring for this equipment when you aren't even sure that you'll continue? Stinky. But I guess that's just how it is. I know you're gone, so I'll say it now...good morning! LOL! I wonder if you can rent, too..

Tiffany-You are going to love your facial! I've only had maybe 3...but soooo relaxing. Although, the whole pore-picking/scraping part I could live without. But I guess it's the price we pay for beauty.

Ash-You have a 20 lb cat?? W T H? My kid is only 9 lbs heavier than your cat!! That's crazy!!.

We are skipping swim due to illness. I'm 99% sure I'm not going to vball either. I've got the queasies. I think I may be doomed. Although, I guess it will help clear me out before my colonoscopy...ewww I just grossed myself out!.

The boys have missed 4 swim classes and there's only 12 total! But 2 were due to the pool canceling (once for snow and once the pool temp was too low), so we get to make those up. It just feels like they haven't been swimming in weeks!.

Jen-I wanted to tell you to not be afraid of the c-section if you need it. I've had both a vaginal birth and a c-section. Barring all of my complications, the actual procedure itself wasn't too bad. You get the epidural and you don't feel anything, and your baby is going to be full term, so you'll get all those first kisses and snuggles still. Good luck!.

I just now realized I didn't get to hold my babies either time. I did get to kiss Jackson on his little head, but that was a nurse just holding him near me and then whisking him away.

Oh well, I made up for it!!..

Thanks Tiffany! What kind of facial are you thinking of getting? theres so many to choose from!.

Jen.

- There is a Nursing Mothers guideling for MF- they recommend waiting till baby is 3 months or only having the diet be 30% Bm... heres the link.

I gained all my weight back with the pregnancy, but I didn't eat good at all! I too was on Medifast about 8 weeks before I stopped. I also waited 15 months to come back, I think had I came back sooner would have been wise.. I actually weighed 185 after he was born so I put on 25 lbs since.....

Tiffany - just peeked at your ticker.

You are rockin' this thing! You go girl!..

Yeah it's the pits.

Has the Doc called yet DAwn??.

I am going to go stroller him for a bit, it's pretty cold though like 40. But we need to get out , when he wakes up.. Hubs has practice we'll go in together- theres bike trails rather than the holed up mud pit my roads have become..

Charla - thanks for the link - I'll check it out. I don't know that I would do it that soon - was thinking around 6 months. I know if I put it off, I won't lose - and may gain. Kudos on being back!.

Dawn - that is sad that both were wisked away. I got to see Julia quickly after she was born, but they took her because my BP was too low...

Thanks Jen!! I took a little break for health reasons and such, but now I am back and swinging!..

Charla - it's a customized 1 hr facial so I am not sure what kind they are going to give me. There is a skin evaluation first. I have a gift certificate for it and a parafin hand and feet treatment! Its going to be soo nice!..

Well, ladies, it's been nice chatting. I'll try to get on again tomorrow - and prob will because work has been slower recently...

I am back on..had meetings today....

I have drank ALL my water. I think I need a express pass to the bathroom....

I go to the dr on Thursday and for once am not having a complete and utter panic attack..

One thing that I really miss with being on medifast is having a snack of popcorn if the afternoon...

Goodnight Jen!! Glad to see you back on the boards!.

Well it's almost time for me to go and I have to go talk to my boss about where I got on my project today and such. So see you chicas tomorrow!..
