On 8/30/10. I had no complications and was only in the hospital one night. Went home. (3 hour drive the next day). I was off work for 2 weeks and did go back the 3rd, but went home early every day as naps were needed! Within one week of.

I was off all my diabetes meds, including insulin. Only take one B/P med and it has been cut in half..

To be off that in a month. The appearance is great to see, but I'm more thrilled with the decrease in meds!.

I'm shinking slowing but surely and I now am getting out of my previous "skinny clothes". YIPEE!.

I have no regrets.

5 days post op and I feel pretty good..

I don't have a lot to update but my very first WOW moment of my new journey:.

I walked from recovery to my real room in the hospital. The nurses said I was only the second person they had ever witnessed.

From recovery, the first was a guy..

I deserve a plaque..

Now i'm just sipping,.

, resting and thrilled I still have one week before I have to go back to work...

I'm just 5 days post op and seem to be struggling a bit. Am having difficulties finding anything that tastes good. But all in all it is good. I am getting in good walks. Very thankful that I don't have to return to work until Nov. 30th!..

Great thread idea Lauri :).

Me: Not too shabby. Thinking about going back under the knife for 3rd round of plastics (inner thighs and more arm work) but having trouble psyching myself up and the logistics (timing, $, etc make my head spin).

You are well! :)..

Im 9 months out and down 160 lbs (including the 30 I lost pre-surgery). Only 15 lbs left to get to the goal weight the nutritionist set for me before.

; however, Im not sure it is the right goal for me (Im starting to get some rib-sticking-out action). Ive gone from a size 30/32 to a 6/8. My bras have gone from 46 to 36. I even had to have my wedding ring re-sized from an 8 to a 5!!.

Im looking into my first round of plastics guess Ill start with the front. Its time for everyone to get back up where theyre supposed to be!! Ill take care of the back and legs in The Great Remodel - Phase 2..

I feel great but Im looking forward to the losing part of the journey being I can start building a wardrobe!!.

Liquid diet.

And dying to test other foods. My dr. wants me to do one more week of liquid but I just want to "scream"Thanks again for the post..

Hi everyone, this is my first time here in this support group. I had gastric bypass in April 2010. 7 months out and I have lost 115 pounds since my.

I lost 25 pounds before.

, so I have shrunk 140 pounds. I found out I like sugar free pudding, so that has been my weakness of late. I think I need to throw that out, I don't want to go backwards...

Great thread idea! I think it ought to be a monthly thing.....

I am 5 days post-op. Haven't weighed yet, so not sure how much I've lost. Doc advised not to do it until all the fluid they pumped into me in the hospital was gone. The worse pain is gas. Having trouble getting it all out of my body. I envy my husband and dogs farts...LOL Other than that, trying to get used to my new digestive arrangement...

Welcome, Shrinky! Sounds like you have been doing great!!.
