I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you help..
No not windows - unix - and the image directory is set to 777.
Any other ideas?.
My images directory is set to 775 and seems to work fine.
Telnet / ssh into your account.
Chmod 775 images (make sure the path to your images dir is correct)..
Thanks for the reply - I've been away so only just got your reply - will try it and get back to the forum if any further problems..
I am having the same problem with MS1 if I use the product editer to upload an image. It stores the image with the owner as nobody so although everything works fine I cannot download or delete the images by ftp because I am not the owner..
As you say it is not stopping me working but it would be nice to get the owner set correctly when uploading..
Have MS2 working well, no issues, images up load, systems is working fine added many contributes all is swell - well nearly..
Now this is not stopping me from working and getting the iPage site to work but when I upload an image either using the OsC built in File Manager or via the Product entry image upload function the images upload fine but the owner permission is set to 'nobody', so if I try and delete or do anything via FTP I have to telnet in an chnage teh owner on these files first before it will let me delete, overwrite or whatever to those files..
Is there a way to have OsC set the owner and permission correctly?.
Are you on a windows system as the permissions should be set on upload.
Is your current images directory and all files in the directory chmod 777..
