First question I got is Netfirms VS iPage VS Yahoo Webhosting , , , , who is better ? Thanks for any response. Another question on my mind: How do most of you handle security for the admin directory? I changed the name of it but I need to install a login script so anyone hitting it will have to enter a password..

Does anyone have any advise on how to do this?.

Thanks..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could answer your iPage question..

If your Hosying company supplies CPanel or equivalent there is a directory protection icon to password protect your admin.

If not then go in contributions (link at top of page) and do a search for admin.

You will find a few that does just that.

Hiya.

There are a couple of ways to handle this. If you're on a UNIX/LINUX/Apache setup you can do this using .htaccess (If you don't know what the heck I am blabbering about, keep reading for the next idea.).

For a windoze solution, check out this contribution:.

This contribution also works with UNIX/LINUX/Apache, and is one method of forcing login..

Hope this helps!.
