That's encouraging. I'm on vacation right now at Walt Disney World. I didn't bring any food in fact I signed the family up for the dining plan which is one counter-service meal and one table service meal plus a snack per day..
My diet plan is to eat the meals but not make a pig of myself (my snacks are Diet Cokes, desserts are low sugar) THEN, I think that I'll walk about ten miles per day which is completely possible here..
I'll let you know how it went when I get back in 8 days...
I was recently at Busch Gardens in Tampa and bought the Meal plan. I was surprised at the very acceptable options that I could pick from - lots of fruit, turkey breast sandwiches, salads, etc. It was a good experience...
But Dick: I trust you to flex and just stay on program. For me, this plan is continuous and when I go on a trip a month from now, I will still follow plan (either with bringing food along...or following the flex plan guidelines which are same as NS.) I won't be having beers or any crap that I would not have at home...
I just moved from AZ to VA, so no vacation for us this year. So, I am in envy of those of you at DisneyWorld, Epcot, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, etc.! Wish I could be there too!.
When I moved from AZ to VA, we drove and it took almost a week. No exercise, junk food. Oddly, I didn't gain above 3 lbs. Why? Portion control..
So, eat half of what you normally eat. Eat turkey sandwiches, fruits, water, celery, pickles, etc...
I'm at the tail end of a 2 week vacation. Not gonna say much, except, maybe, "Burp". I stayed On Plan. Unfortunately, it was My Plan, NOT the Nutrisystem Plan. +11 today for the period so far, with 4 days to go before coming back. I'm honestly glad my BBB is patiently waiting and actually look forward to resuming The Plan..
I actually lost weight at DisneyWorld because we walked and walked and walked ... Dinner at Epcot was variable: Alfredo's (great!), the French place (Air France food), the Mexican place (awful, except for the coolness and the cheezy boat ride), Yachtsman (had much better in Phoenix and DC) etc. So, it's actually easy to lose weight at Disneyworld/Epcot since the food is so mediocre and you get a lot of exercise...
I don't want to lead anyone astray, but I'm kind of a knucklehead around here. My pesonal GOAL for my 2 week vacation was to gain 10 lbs. I met and exceeded my goal. How sick is that? Have done all my old favorite foods and resteraunts. 1 lb. Fudrucker? Check.
Italian, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Puerto Rican, American, Seafood, Vietnamese? Check, check, check. Pie Lady Pies? Check Home cooked Filet Mignon with all the trimmings? Check. Fresh corn-on-cob w/butter? Check. I'm just glad I don't drink any more..
No worries. I actually ENJOY staying on the Nutrisystem plan, so am looking forward to this coming Monday. I'm only 2 lbs over my 200 lb "goal" weight that I set for myself when I was 300 lbs. I'm glad I got down to 191 before my vacation began. Gave me a bit more wiggle room. I'll stay on-plan as long as it takes to get back to where I was and then continue working out and losing as needed to get rid of residual belly fat.
In between, I'll be losing, maintaining or gaining as the mood strikes. With NS, I feel like I'm the boss of ME. It really works! Like I said, no worries, but don't use me as an example, unless it's a bad one..
