That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

Looks like oscommerce.gif is write protected - right click on it and in properties or chmod you should be able to change the write rules...

I right clicked on it and chose properties, but all that came up was a tab that said "element properties" and thats it. Any other advice??..

Sorry - my fault I think - right click on the file oscommerce.gif not the oscommerce.gif image...

Where do I find that file? I can only see the image file?.

By the way, thank you for helping me..

How do you upload files ? .

With whatever you use you should be able to see the oscommerce.gif file in the relevant directory - probably /images/...

I right clicked on it and it still says element properties............

Can you upload images to the image dir ? .

If so another option is to upload your new logo calling it something other than oscommerce.gif and then change the path name in includes/header.php to call to the new image...

No, I can't even upload images. after I browse and chose the images I want to upload, it doesn't give me an option to upload.......there is only a cancel button there..

This is what it says to me when I wnat to upload images.

Error: I can not write to this directory. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/kdesigns/public_html/ecommerce/catalog/..

If your iPage site is already on a server and not on your computer, get a good ftp program. Highlight the file you need to change permissions on right click, click on permissions and change to 777. You will need to add images for products in admin. You won't need to change the permissions on many files from this approach......

Try doing the right click bit I said before but on the catalog directory - failing that contact your host to see if they can help or.

Can anyone else advise ?

Thanks forthe help guys......but it's still not working. it won't let medo anything. now it's saying I have to do something with thebackup file......oh my goodness..
