I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could assist you..
Both configure.php files have information regarding my database and server info written to them..
The database is there also, but no tables have been created inside it...
In that case you can either try once more to install, or just upload the database directly via phpmyadmin (from your Web iPage site control panel).
Is this a standard install, or template?.
Seems odd for it to have not imported properly, assuming it is actually in the install folder!.
It's a template purchased from TemplateMonster.com.
I used phpmyadmin to create the database, but i'm not sure what you mean by upload it directly? what file would I be uploading?.
Is the database actually in the install folder? it looks like a text file and will (should)be called oscommerce.
When you hover your mouse over it the tool tip will say SQL file..
To upload to php myadmin,.
Log into your control panel.
Search for a link to SQL databases, phpmyadmin (depends on the type of server as to where it is).
When phpmyadmin loads from the left select your database name from the dropdown box, it will load in the main window..
Now from the top select import, a new page loads with an uploader, navigate to your database on your PC and select it, then click OK and it will upload..
That worked! thanks nic!.
Have a happy and safe new year!..
After going through a step by step installation and getting to the final page where I can click a button to go to either the catalog or the admin page, I get the following error whenever I try either..
And i'm not sure what it means..
1146 - Table 'sszymcz_productcatalog.configuration' doesn't exist.
Select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration.
I've setup a basic database as instructed. Am I missing something?.
The database is not there.
The server is down.
The configure files have not been written.
Catalog (if in that folder) / includes / configure.php.
Admin/ includes / configure.php.
Have the data you entered when installing in them (like database names / passwords) store URL etc.
