I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could assist you..

Copy the text in the CODE box below into a text editor (Notepad) on your PC:.

<?php.

Echo 'HTTP HOST: '"$HTTP_HOST";.

Echo '<br>Server Port: 'getenv('SERVER_PORT');.

Echo '<br>SSL Status: 'getenv('HTTPS');.

Echo '<br>Fowarded Server: 'getenv('HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SERVER');.

Echo '<br>Fowarded Host: 'getenv('HTTP_X_FORWARDED_HOST');.

Echo '<br>Fowarded By: 'getenv('HTTP_X_FORWARDED_BY');.

?>.

Save it as.

Myenv.php.

Upload it into your root folder on your site..

When you're done post again..

I'll access it with my browser and it should provide info to help solve your problem..

It's a harmless script, it just displays values of a few server variables...

I think thats done, the root folder is the folder containing the admin and includes folder right?..

It's there..

Here's some output:.

So the standard setting in application_top should work..

You have a problem with the config file..

Oh right what can I do with that? shall I post my config files on here?..

Are you editing the config file on the server, or locally then FTP'ing to the server?.

If you edit locally then FTP to the server the new config file might not make it to the server because of permission problems..

Check the one that is on the server NOW...

Yes I'm editing locally and then FTP'ing, I checked the server config files and they seem fine...

READ THE /includes/.

Configure.php.

FROM THE SERVER..

Then post these seven lines.

ONLY!.

Define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '');.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '');..

Define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.linzdesign.co.uk');.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'http://www.linzdesign.co.uk');.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', true);.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.linzdesign.co.uk');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.linzdesign.co.uk');.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/');..

Wow really? I changed it and it's messed my iPage site up a lot! I think it's lost all the links to pictures, stylesheet etc..

Edit....

It looks like it has made the whole iPage site start with https?.

Oh it looks ok now, instead of refreshing it I retyped the iPage domain into the address and it seems ok. Although it's comming up with a certificate error?.

It says.

Www.linzdesign.co.uk uses an invalid security certificate..

The certificate is only valid for linzdesign.co.uk..

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain).

You don't have what I posted:.

<base href="https://www.linzdesign.co.uk/">.

HAS TO BE.

WITHOUT.

THE "www."..

Oh sorry I missed that bit, looks like it's working! Thanks a lot for your help..

Oh I have another problem I thought fixing the SSL would fix. I installed the included paypal express module although when I try to make a test checkout, I get a red bar at the top of the page saying:.

Security header is not valid.

Do you have any idea what thats about?..

Still getting "non secure items" popup in IE..

In your SWF file code:.

<script type="text/javascript">.

AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0','width','473','height','390','title','homeButtons','src','images/home buttons','quality','high','pluginspage','http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash','movie','images/home buttons' ); //end AC code.

</script><noscript><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0" width="473" height="390" title="homeButtons">.

<param name="movie" value="images/home buttons.swf">.

<param name="quality" value="high">.

<embed src="images/home buttons.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="473" height="390"></embed>.

</object></noscript></td>.

Try changing all the.

To.

Http.

S.

://..

And, sorry, but I don't know anything about paypal express...

How would I change that? Do I need to edit it in flash?.

And I see what you mean, it's saying there is a security risk when I log into the admin side.

It's just.

PLAIN TEXT.

...

Wow I was making that a lot more difficult than it was, I've changed all the links to https now..

I think thats fixed the problem? but I've still got a certificate warning everytime I log into the admin side of the website.

Would that be a problem in the admin/includes config file?.

No warning in IE now (catalog)..

All looks good now..

You admin config file needs work..

Define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers.

Define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', '');.

Define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', '');.

What does it have for those lines?..

Pay attention to details:.

Define('HTTP_SERVER', 'https://linzdesign.co.uk');.

Define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://linzdesign.co.uk');.

Define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://linzdesign.co.uk');..

And if you open my iPage website in IE do the flash links work on your computer? because they only seem to work on mine in firefox..

Thats good, I don't use IE much so hopefully it's just something I haven't installed. Thankyou so much for your help, now I've got to work out why the PayPal module isn't working properly!..

I think I found the problem, the module was using the sandbox mode so I think the iPage website is all set!..

I've tried all of that now and none of it seems to work, the iPage website isn't even showing the Https on any of the pages that are meant to be secure?.

Thanks for your help..
