Got a quick question: Should I switch from iPage to NameCheap? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0.

After installing OS Commerce and proceeding to the Admin panel I recieved the above errors. I am not a PHP guru so most of what the errors say make no sense to me..

OS : Windows 2000 Pro.

Apache webserver 1.3.

PHP 4.

MySQL.

Any help would be appreciated...

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

Thanks for the timely response. I managed to find out what I did wrong. I needed to create a /tmp folder. As soon as I did this the problem sorted it self out. Which leads me to another question. Is it better to have the sessions stored in the database or a seperate folder?..

I created it in the root of my C: drive...

Putting the /tmp folder in the root is exactly the correct place. As for the storage of the sessions, I prefer to have them stored in the db rather than as files...
