That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could assist you..

I lost about 140 lbs in the first nine months. And the entire journey was fairly steady and constant loss. But I only weighed myself maybe 8 times so I couldn't tell you if I had several week stalls or not. But I can tell you I alway weighed less each time I got on the scale..

Just past 3 months right now....

Down 72 pounds since 7/01, with 58 of that since.


On 07/21. I havent weighed since my appt last week, so I am hoping it's down a bit more...

3 months - 65 (95 including pre-op).

6 months - 100 (130 total).

9 months - 122 (152 total).

Well tomorrow will be 12 weeks for me, and I am 59lbs lost. Hopefully it will be an even 60 for the 3 month mark LOL I wasn't on any pre-op diet..

This is documented somewhere, I remember.


That something like 75% or more of RNY patients lose 60 to 70% of excess weight in the first year..

I don't think you'll get an accurate idea here, too few sample member (respondents) and it's also skewed, meaning you'll see outliers who participate in an online support group :)..
