Quick question... Using 123 reg.com for testing purposes? Looking forward for any answer or 2. Second question.. I am new to this forum. I own the domain.

The company Lenovo that makes computers (used to be IBM) just introduced a new line called X61, how should I go about seeing if they have interest in my domain?..

I do not think they would want to take the HostGator because they already have a developed reputed site which they would like to continue with and not change on that HostGator just for that model.

I think you are pretty safe until you park that domain..

I would not approach them or it will could show bad faith even though you already had it regged before they announced it. I dont think they will want this name anyway so I wouldnt count on them coming to you to buy it off of you. Companies arent going to want to buy a HostGator name for every model name of every product they sell. That would be pointless. they already have their main website. They would have to get LevovoX61.com, X61.com, LenovoT60.com, T60.com, and it would go on and on and on forever. Companies would end up having 100,000 HostGator names to keep up with...

Considering how many computer models are produced each year, I dont think Lenovo will be interested in acquiring this HostGator name, it doesnt quite work that way with computer models... Consider how many domains they would have to buy each time a new model is introduced, and since more people are probably not looking for a specific model # - they would just assume visit Lenovos 123 reg website and see what products are advertised....

I think parking or creating a mini-site with information about that unit is the way to go... Approaching Lenovo would be a waste of your time..
